Wonderful thought provoking film
victoriaplum197925 June 2023
What an incredible piece of film making, I loved the journey it took me on - thought about self romance, mental health and culture. The Welsh Celtic touches added a uniqueness to the film - from the Welsh scenery, to the portrayal of the language. The poetry and portrayal of a young woman trapped in herself made for a thought provoking watch. Pretty special afterwards to have a brilliant 'Questions and Answers' after with the British and American writer and director, this affirmed the thought and care that went into the making of the film and the events behind the scenes. Real worthwhile watch.

Tender and heartful tale of healing.

Mesmering from the outset, it's impossible not to be fully invested in Stef and her journey towards healing and wholeness. The narrative, set in black in white in a stunning Welsh backdrop, is both subtle and complex as we gradually piece together the pain of Stef's past which has lead to her agoraphobia. Her vulnerabilty shines through in every scene as she tries to find the courage to overcome the walls that are both her comfort and her prison. With the arrival of Evan and the onset of an unconventional romance, the audience is carried along on a journey of warmth, hope and tenderness. An outstanding directorial feature debut from Keith Kopp.
