Really Great, had a good, emotional.

It has been a long since I had a theatre experience since COVID protocols.

This show was soo good.

Kept the same production, artistic values of other Chosen episodes.

The crew really brought all the emotional factors of nativity and birth of Jesus into the show.

Really loved a lot.

2020 Christmas with the Chosen

Excellent music! If you open your heart and really pay attention to what the words mean, it will bring you to tears. The monologs bring so much TRUTH. A great time to listen to our disobedience and God's Grace over and over as we are now in times of great disobedience.

Besides the musical performances, and monologs, they also showed the Pilot Episode for The Chosen called The Shepard. This episode shows you the birth of Christ though the eyes of a Shepherd. If you don't already know, shepherds slept outside and were dirty so they were seen as very low. When you think about that while watching these episode, it puts so much meaning and emotion to what you are seeing on screen. I highly recommend this Christmas Special as well as the 2021 Christmas Special titled The Messengers. And of course, the actual multi season show, The Chosen. #getusedtodifferent #peoplemustknow #comeandsee #thechosen.

Speechless. The manger scene truly hits home if you have a child of your own. Brilliantly acted, brilliant production.

As with everything else involving The Chosen, an absolute masterpiece.

The longest music video and a very small account of Jesus' birth

I came to see a story about the Birth of Jesus, Mary and Joseph's trouble finding a place in Bethlehem, their closeness and trust in God.

Instead I sat through what felt like the longest music video ever.

Be prepared for more than 1hr of music and a brief, significantly brief, representation of the Christmas story.

Don't take me wrong, I love Christmas music as the next Christian, but if you're advertising Christmas with the Chosen, I did not see how these bands and singers were a representation of the Chosen, the project and the series that we have come to love and long for.

I think it would've been better off with a different name, music and the Chosen, or something like that.

Some very nice Christmas musical selections, traditional, modern and original. The extra narratives provided some interesting information.

Not what my heart and spirit were waiting for

I have faithfully watched the Chosen series and was looking so forward to 2hrs of the birth of Jesus! I was waiting on messenger visits, shepherds, Herod.... Basically, I figured it would be a like watching a double episode focused solely around Christ's birth. Instead, it was over an hour of music videos and artist's thoughts. I love worship music....but I went to watch a story. By the time the movie actually started, I was tired, bored, and distracted. Also, the back and forth from BC to AD was confusing to folks who weren't familiar with the whole story/new to learning about Christ. Just not a movie I would recommend.

Painfull to sit through if you're expecting a movie

This is not a movie. It's a Christmas special. The first 1:10 minutes are literally Christian artists singing - they are all amazing absolutely, but if you're not prepared to watch music videos for an hour straight this will be hard for you to sit through. The episode itself was honestly hard to watch as my entire family was ready to leave, we could not get all of the music out of our heads. This did not do justice at all to how epic the TV show is.

A demerit to the Chosen series.

I love the Chosen series. I was looking forward to seeing a new episode on the big screen. Instead I saw a thrown together 30 or so minute clip of bad acting, poorly written dialogue, surrounded in insincere testimony of actors reading off a prompter. It is unfortunate that those who have not seen the series will likely steer away from it after seeing this. I felt as if it was a cash grab. They could have made one of their best episodes surrounding the birth, and really dropped the ball. No one is as saddened by this, as I.

The actual movie part of it was great!

I don't want to be judgemental of this, I absolutely love the show! I've learned so much from it about the apostles, (being careful to discern from the fictional parts that the show added) but I really feel cheated out of my money! There isn't one trailer I've seen where it mentions all the music videos, it's great music don't get me wrong, and they're made really well, but I feel like they REALLY should have prefaced the music videos in the trailer(s)!!!

The People Must Know

That this theater presentation is boring as hell. Admittedly I was asked to attend this "movie" and didn't know what I was getting into. Be warned the run time is 2 hours with an hour and 17 minutes of that being a bad music video. I guess I see the appeal if you want to see artists lip-syncing and pretending to play instruments that are not plugged in, followed by a 25 minute episode that shows very little of the birth of Jesus. For me however it was 2 hours I'll never get back.

Way too much music!

My husband and I were so looking forward to seeing this movie after watching the chosen series. This was nothing like that. It's over an hour of music and dialogue from singers and actors with a very short movie - I would have loved about a tenth of the music and more story. I wish I could recommend this but unfortunately it just wasn't what I expected.

A glorified MTV spectacle

I wanted to see a Christmas episode of "The Chosen". Instead, I had to waste over an hour wading through a parade of show creators and musicians indulging themselves with interviews and music videos that are all glitz and flash, before the episode even started. The actual episode of story is barely a half hour long, and then it's followed by even more self-promotion by the creators and musicians. This is not even remotely what I was looking for in a special. It feels like nothing more than a vanity project and an MTV video rolled into one. Not my idea of a presentation of the Christmas story. Horribly conceived and not what I was expecting at all.
