Of course, the next to final episode is going to show something seemingly insurmountable. After all, we are dealing with humans who have endless baggage and who wish to remain upright. George is a nasty and thinks he is invulnerable but has engaged in murder for hire. Unfortunately, his brother and his stepdaughter are pawns in this. By the way, I think that Bruce Dern was sensational in this series, playing an amazingly complex character.

I really like the noir settings and it's beautifully shot.
The cross on Frank is so far from reality even for teleplay writing that they figuratively peed in their own campfire. It is a shame they didn't write in the sustained objections that would have happened, maybe it was time for lunch. 🤔

Why would Tom True be attacked on Pier 39, a rather crowded, touristy area with security cameras, while he is talking on the phone with someone else? Why wouldn't the attackers wait until the call ends?
Why would Tom True visit that specific area, which is not a logical place for someone trying to hide?
How do the attackers mysteriously get his body moved close to a bridge to suggest he fell, all without being seen?
And in the last episode, why would Billy be able to hang from a building after being pushed?
I like this season, but the writing regarding details like this is not great. Suspension of disbelief is a common problem with this show. Goliath is best when it's more grounded.

This is the episode where everything is supposed to turn around, and the twists are straightening out for the upcoming court battle. But so little is happening, all the many things happening here just don't matter. This entire season has been dull and even Patti isn't entertaining, and worse of all, the villain is extremely dull and hardly really does anything bad except for what others say he did, or does, or... whatever.
