The veil between Eren and the audience
sherjan-aamir8 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I loved how Eren was used as a narrator throughout the series until season 4. He was used to guide the audience to explain what was happening and how much information was conveyed to us. We always knew what Eren felt and couldn't help but feel the same.

Season 1 - Eren finds out the there are other titan shifters besides him,the audience finds out with him.

Season 2 - Eren gets betrayed by Reiner and Bertolt, the audience feels the same disgust and feeling of being misled.

Season 3 - The entire world is revealed to Eren and we as the audience could never look at the world (AOT) the same way again.

Now come to season 4, they kept hobo Eren well hidden for an episode or two and did not let us understand his feelings. Our entire perspective was carried by Reiner until the famous "Declaration of War" scene and even after that,we couldn't understand why Eren was doing what he was doing. So far,we have gotten various explanations for his actions by Levi,Mikasa,Armin or Yelena but next week, the man himself finally sits down and talks to not just Mikasa and Armin but to us,the audience he has betrayed and left behind and right now we are as clueless as Mikasa and Armin. The storytelling is unmatched when it comes to this show.

The perfect set up.
harrisonjfox7 March 2021
This episode was so well written, tensions were running high and all the political themes in this arc came to a high point. However above all this was the perfect set up for next week's episode. Which will becomes one of the best of the whole show without a doubt.

Gabi doesn't deserve Falco
adambeee9 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Falco has quickly turned into one of my favourite characters, after only seeing him in a very small portion of the series. This episode shows exactly why. Also, I find it funny how Mikasa saves Gabi because she's literally Eren lmao. The emotions in the episode were top tier as well as everything else (as usual). This show continues to get better and better every single episode and it's the most rewatchable series I've ever come across.

Unexpectedly the best episode of the season so far
aaacampero7 March 2021
I really liked the episode about kaya, the declaration of war, assault, and assassins gun, but THIS episode was insane with the direction, the expressions, and the music. Really well done and created the perfect tension needed for next episode

AoT is also a compelling drama
loydawearssilk_8 March 2021
The buildup of so many emotions and different ideologies come to the full effect of a train crash and it's both intense and emotional. No emotion feels forced. Not just from the voice acting, but speaking story wise. Everything has a domino effect and everything is connected the same way life is. This episode was packed with smashing moments and tearful ones. This episode helped many still doubting the direction of the story right back and that slow burns have satisfying and compelling scenes. Animation and music. Chef kiss.

we are all children of the forest
tea_in_a_cup7 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
25 minutes felt like 5 minutes in this episode. The forest metaphor was so poignant and on-point that it brought tears to my eyes. The whole sequence of Nicolo's rage and thirst for revenge was incredibly tense. There is nothing more heartbreaking than to witness the breakdown of a man's psyche as he started to lose his humanity to grudge and anger. Nicolo is no evil. Nicolo is all of us as we grieve the death of our beloved.

The small revelation about Zeke's plan also sent chills down my spines. And to top it off, Eren's nonchalant waltz into the room left my jaws agape. What a wonderful way to end this episode.

Attack on Titan once again proves that it does not need to rely on beautiful fighting sequences to keep the audience engaged. Its ability to capture our attention with narrative prowess and complexity repeatedly surpasses my expectations.

That's what Attack on Titan it's all about!
joaomarcosbfc8 March 2021
The moral of the story throughout this anime was revealed by Sasha's father. What a powerful message Attack on Titan gives us. This episode was tense from beginning to end and we are increasingly surprised by the genius of this anime. I have to go back to praising the MAPPA studio for the perfect job they have been doing. The animation continues to improve with each episode, the music is perfect, the direction is perfect, everything is perfect. Attack on Titan is perfect.

The Morality of the War
CinemaFX30 March 2021
The hunting and killing has been going on for long. Is this really justified that eventually we keep coming in circles of- this killed my loved one, my family and on and on. We have been looking a lot through the eyes of revenge and when we get to the point when it starts resembling the very start, we are questioned... Are you the Children of the Forest?

One of the Most Raw Moments of the Series
BadgerStorm43458 March 2021
The intensity of the voice acting in this episode matched the emotion presented through the characters perfectly. This episode was a fantastic adaptation of Chapter 111 and 112. All of the reveals with insane and the character development for Gabi was some of the best we've seen from any character in the series.

I had goosebumps the entire time
iamanoob010 May 2021
To be honest this episode is probably my favorite or one of my favorite episodes in all of AoT. Just how tense everything is, the chills, and the absolutely brilliant way that all the dots connected. Man this storytelling is on godlike levels.

Shocking & Devastating
keraghel_mehdi8 March 2021
-The events continue to be more shocking and It takes us into another difficult experience that defines the true essence of Attack on Titan now that It's the point of no return -The rythme escalates 📈 and with it the level of Thrill and the Fear of What could be the next blast -intense confrontation that makes this season's plot even more profound and not easy to get over with , and that's another thing that makes this anime more unique and special
  • The characters of Blaus , Nicolo , Gabi witnessed their most crucial Moments so far now that they are confronted to the painful truth as it stands , the Sequence that it was preceded by a long & proper Build-up along the previous eps that set the ground for what happened just yet and what will happen further more and that served the Episode so well 👌
-The visuals and the animation are so vivid that they bring the characters closer to us -Moving Soundtrack ❤🎶 -And that big reveal was one of the most schocking & devastating moments of The entire anime along with another Memorable moments that stand in our memories And that's what the Author is good the most at it , Plotting every single detail and then investing it all in the moments that represent the biggest dramatic turns each time

Insanely Tense
calzonelamrthefirst7 March 2021
The way tension was built up in this episode was phenomenal from start to finish. Gabi and Floch were the stars in terms of character development. Brilliantly wrote- what lacked in action was made up with strong storytelling. Expecting big things for the last 3 episodes.

Emotions Overload
shantanuchauhan-147557 March 2021
Arguably the most emotional episode of the season. And brilliantly crafted too. The pace, the animation (which is usually good with AoT), the BGM & last but not the least, the story. All top notch. Kudos to the writer for penning this masterpiece. And hat's off to Mappa for bringing this to life.

Hell yeah. This ep features one of the most amazing plot-twist in AOT. The next episode is going to be frickin' epic, im sure as hell. Because it's going to be perfect as this show. Amazing animation quality, incredible plot, heartbreaking moments, exceptional music and so on. I love this show.
