I just can't watch this series anymore...
kriskagie-1401219 May 2021
After 7 seasons (of which 3 or 4 were great or good) I give up on the series... While in seasons 4-6 there were many bad episodes but I still managed to find some parts of the season enjoyable. Now, in season 7 except for 1 really good episode we get a mix of bad story writing/VFX/acting/dialogue writing etc...

So I am giving up on dreaming that "the next episode will fix things up" or "next week it will be better". It won't so I'm done.

This series is a story of a great premise and a great series (1-3 seasons) turned mediocre in next seasons (4-6) to then turn into an unwatchable/terrible space filler for the CW.

(Flash deserves better...)

The flash needs to showcase the flash!
JAYZFLASH19 May 2021
I love this show but this season has been making it real hard to watch. After the 2nd episode I was thinking that we were heading in the right direction.... I was wrong. Team flash is too packed up right now, the writers need to start getting rid of some characters. Also, we haven't seen epic flash action in a while, why is that? Hopefully the second half improves. Not a fan of the forces storyline, and I hope Eric Wallace and the writers see that us fans want and expect more.

Just talk to him and you will beat him.

Warning: Spoilers
Why do they continue with the same? Why do you keep paying attention to iris? Why do enemies give up when they say "please don't do it"? The writers sometimes ruin the series.

Storyline Matters

Warning: Spoilers
Oh boy, a 2-parter. Oh, Nora. Barry didn't abandon you. You were being manipulated by the Reverse Flash for goodness sake. Can't you remember? Anyways, I love the sciencey stuff. It's so fun. AND I KNEW PSYCH WOULD BE BACK, LOL. Man's like on almost the same level as Freddy Krueger. I would not be surprised if he returns once again in the next episode. (( I was right! )) The dude's almost unstoppable. Yet, Joe West is involved. I feel like Allegra isn't an interesting character. She's just there. Well, poor judgment there. She's a journalist helping out with Iris. She has a type of personality, too. But other than that, she's there. Neither Alexa but, she's duller. Surprisingly enough, Psych has new powers. Upgrades, people. Upgrades. Force Fuerza out of Alexa? Yikes. I was right. It was going to be a bad idea. She now feels like she's some lab rat. Nice Gotham reference there, Joe. I already gave up on Batwoman Season 1. I couldn't. Not going to lie but, Psych looks spectacular in the wilderness. Nice location shooting you got over there. That was unexpected that Psych's joining Team Flash. But, it will be interesting to see him face off with Nora and Deon. Oh crap, all of the team but Barry are passed out.

My thoughts? I wish the cliffhanger was done better. The episode failed to keep me entertained and, the dialogue didn't save it. I am getting real tired of defeating the villain by using words. Why not action? There has been hardly any action in the previous episodes. I would love it if there is more action. Who knows? We will see in the near future. The keys point where I liked was only Psych.

6/10.

Another meh episode but the cliffhanger was amazing
mattschauer2819 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This show is just meh episode after meh episode, kinda boring and definitely sappy and dumb but at least the plot is moving a little faster, and the CGI for fuerza still haunts me in my sleep.

Edit: I came and changed my review because of the last scene. Really good cliffhanger!!! And if iris actually died which she probably didn't, then Nora is my new favorite villain.

What is with this family stuff?
JustPokie19 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
These grown adults calling Barry dad and eachother brother and sister is just weird and corny at this point. Last episode the speed force was going to kill Deon, but this episode she wants his help and calls him little brother. Did the writers not think that this was not corny and cringe? Besides the family stuff, Barry was nerfed badly in this episode. He should be fast enough to take down Psych in an instant or dodge anything that comes at him, but he just stands there? Anyways the cliffhanger was kind of good atleast, but i'm not hyped because I fear they mess it up.

"Running away won't solve anything."
RahulM00719 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The tenth episode of the seventh season fittingly titled "Family Matters, Part 1" primarily focused on training Alexa aka the strength force and getting through to Psych aka Bashir aka the sage force.

Right off the bat, I absolutely adore Alexa and really hope that she becomes a permanent member of Team Flash. Unfortunately, she was killed off for the second time by speed force Nora. This served as an enticing cliffhanger to next week's intense episode. The ending literally had me in utter shock and disbelief. I refuse to believe that her death is going to stick.

One of the fun things I noticed when watching the episode and all the previous episodes containing the forces was that their eyes kind of remind me of the buttons on the Playstation remote. Especially, when Psych's eyes light up, it immediately makes me think of the Playstation button. That was a fun little tidbit of the episode. :)

I got literal chills when Joe handed his badge and gun, and resigned as Captain. He gave such a powerful speech to Kristen Kramer that felt incredibly poignant. On episode 14 of Batwoman, Sophie had a similar storyline to Joe's and also quit her job in law enforcement. I don't think it is a coincidence that both Batwoman and the Flash had episodes pertaining to police brutality, the BLM movement and the corrupt police force. Both shows tackled it head on and with sincerity and pathos.

Agent Chip Cooper aka Lieutenant Literal was briefly mentioned in this episode. Cisco received an email from him on his phone. I wonder what the email entails. Is Lieutenant Literal offering Cisco a job?

The episode ends on a downer. Speed force Nora blackmailed Deon aka the still force into helping her get rid of the forces. I doubt that Alexa and Bashir are gone for good. They will definitely return somehow in episode 11.

I loved seeing Alexa and Bashir's sibling rivalry. It was sweet how Alexa is the voice of reason for Bashir. She literally turned him to the good side.

The Flash has always been a family oriented show and this episode proves that. I low-key want to be part of the Flash family. They are such a diverse group of characters with different personalities. Speed force Nora is the family member who wants to tear the family apart and wants all the attention from Barry and Iris. I think that next week's episode will see her accepting the fact that Alexa, Bashir and Deon are her siblings and not the ultimate threat.

To conclude, this episode turned out to be light hearted, action packed, character and story driven and incredibly touching. It served as a terrific first parter, and the ending directly sets up the second part. I'm proud to call this my favourite episode of the season so far. I can't stop thinking about that shocking cliffhanger.

Final verdict: 10/10.

I don't even know what to say anymore
ldamena19 May 2021
Like I said last week this show is a joke. & The problem isn't Iris or how much screen time she gets: it's the writers they gave up a long time ago and it shows. Barry is horrible and gets worse every episode. I can't even call him a hero the guy is a dud. Trying to turn him into the next Oliver isn't working. He's NOT Oliver and he looks like a clown next to Queen. And what's that baloney with love is the only thing that can stop the villains? I'm tired of the dumb speeches every episode. So glad Superman and Lois is back because that show eats The Flash alive. Sad what's happened here, I used to enjoy it now I just watch it out of pure habit.

Please Realise: These are not your children.
Authoric19 May 2021
The constant mentions to the forces being 'all connected' and 'brothers and sisters' is just so annoying! As much as I hate to say it, this show is sinking. It's running out of ideas and is just getting cheesy. Season Four was better than this!

What are they doing to Barry? Flash is supposed to be the moral compass. For half the episode he is cold and then after a pep talk he becomes apologetic. It's the same formula every damn episode.

PLEASE CHANGE THE WRITERS.

One more masterpiece delivered by the flash writers!
panossf20 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This show should be renamed to "Iris, the guy that gets his ass kicked and love is the way". In this episode we see Barry getting his ass kicked two times by Psych(which happens in almost every episode) and of course in the end Fouerza helps him ,and they manage together to convince Psych that they want to help him, because "love is the way" apparently. The acting is so bad that i can't stop laughing while watching. Especially Alegra who is a bad written character that adds nothing to the show and in the contrary it makes it even worse. Also why in every episode one member of the team flash just disappears for no apparent reason(in this episode is Chester)? Writers need to get their heads straight and write a decent plot that makes sense and characters that are well developed. Barry is supposed to be the main character of the show but all he does is whining all the time and he keeps taking the worst decisions possible that can put people in danger. For example in the previous episode he almost created another flashpoint. In this episode his so called "training Alexa" almost got Cisco killed. He doesn't learn from his mistakes and also who gives him the right to travel in time or take other actions that can affect people's lives in bad way?

Enough of this already, anyone remember when this used to be a superhero show. Now every episode is about thoughts and feelings and love will win the day. It's just rubbish. Get woke go broke.

It's the show about flash not iris.
muhibarfin23 May 2021
Bad plotlines, bad character driven episodes!!! Gone are the days when flash used to have good arcs, good storylines etc. Now it's just boring episodes with bad plots n bad cgi fight scenes.

They dont have budget for good fighting scenes so they are compensating that by convincing bad guys n all motivational chitchat.

And Iris isn't the leader, it's supposed to be flash n only flash!!!

This season is going to be the worst season of all arrowverse. It's the show about flash supposed to be sci-fi and not any romantic drama.

The Flash is done Warning: Spoilers
This series started great and seasons 1-3 deserve a 9. I would even give the first season a 10. I was waiting for every episode and it stuck in my mind. The dynamics between wells and Barry was amazing. The friendship with Green arrow and the team etc.

Then in season 4 the villains became boring. And eventually it became all about woke agenda crap, Iris and talking to the bad guys.

In season 7 Tom appeared only in a few episodes and will be leaving soon. He's the second most important character after the Flash that made the series work.

Seasons 1-3 worked mostly thanks to their dynamics.

Good bye Flash it was nice while it lasted. The woke agenda is killing these shows.

Disappointing episode
rabbit_mini23 May 2021
To be fair this episode is a tad better than the last one but nowhere where it was used to be and supposed to be.

Same loop every time: Barry feels guilty so he pushes too far -> realises he's wrong after words from his teammates -> Barry does the right thing -> Magically persuades the enemies to give up on whatever evil plans => Happy ending.

Where is The Flash... Again?
hasansevik26 May 2021
Too many episodes of The Flash without The Flash front and centre.

And Iris is now at crime scenes, so even Barry Allen can't do his job without her now.

Rename this show The Iris already...

Worst season of ALL the Arrowverse.
aguithooo4 September 2021
This is the worst season of ALL the Arrowverse.

The actors don't even bother to act well. This is a total disaster. They should finish the series in the next season. I even enjoy watching Batwoman a lot more.

Complete nonsense
gareth-7544227 May 2021
Even the Flash comic stories from the 50s & 60s weren't as stupid as the stories/plots in this show.

Dumb stories, stupid childish plots, pathetic dialogue & ridiculously childish interpretation of DC characters.

Honestly it's weird the forces being considered children and the joe plot was boring until the very end. But the phsyck/ Alexa plot was fun and think thats the way this season should have been gone the past 7 episodes.

I'll keep it brief
eapuhala19 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Not feeling great so I'll keep it brief.

Pros: -Psych is still a great villain -Amazing cliffhanger -Tied together how Cisco has been very indecisive the past few seasons to give him an exit -CCPD subplot was genuinely amazing, Joe is the best Cons: -The family stuff is weird, I can't lie -CG sucked this week.

Meh: -Alexa/Barry stuff was alright, nothing special but it was ok

Overall, better than last week but not great either. It sure was a weird one but there was more I liked than I didn't and it had some genuinely great moments so I'll give it an 8/10.
