Henry Steele is a genius.
dditzer13 November 2009
A modern masterpiece of a short, director Henry Steele offers a stark look at small town life. As decade old relationships spin out of control under the guise of loyalty and ambition, friends quickly learn the limits of patience - and forgiveness. A stellar performance from Neil (Brett Probasco) leaves the viewer suspended in a palpable moral rapture, as Teague (Devin Lesneski) falls suddenly from grace. Kelly (Kate Lardner) will rip your heart in two as she becomes trapped in the middle of of a brotherhood so close that there can only be one way out. If there's only one film you see from 2005, make it the Crutch. Their lives will never be the same.
