This film tells the story of Professor Norman Cornett, who lost his teaching position at a Canadian university. The film attempts to depict Cornett as an eccentric visionary whose unorthodox but brilliant methods put him at odds with the administration. A handful of very annoying students speak very highly of him.
Unfortunately, it's clear from the film that Cornett is just a fairly incompetent teacher. The administration seemed to handle the firing very tactlessly, considering Professor Cornett's wife's battle with cancer. But it's not the profile in courage it purports to be.
The director sticks to the conventional talking head documentary format with some archival footage from Cornett's teaching. I was bored.
