I love how Prodigy slowly manages introduce kids and new viewers to a Star Trek lore and at the same time keeping as adults interested with mystery, new characters, they backgrounds, relationships. From all new ST shows Prodigy actually feels like Star Trek!

I really like this episode , I think this series is going in a very good direction and I really like they decided to keep the TMP/TNG aesthetics ,just like Lower Decks did and I hope the producers will keep doing this even with the future animated Star Trek series,just to avoid any confusions ,because I got the feeling the changes they did in Star Trek Discovey will not be the last ones for the Star Trek live shows. This episode has more exploration, it is very enjoyable and the visuals are pretty fascinating.

Both Dal and Gwyn have changed so much since the first episode.
This show really knows how to tell strong standalone stories, give characters meaningful growth, and keep ongoing storylines simmering nicely in the background.
It's a genuine pleasure to watch it every week.

Senior Trekker scores every episode of each incarnation of Star Trek with a 5. This might seem a little unfair at times but it enables me to negotiate some delicate territory while making it plain that I have no wish to offend anyone. Expensive, professional offerings can stand against fan produced tribute pieces. The classic fifty-year-old episodes can stand against the best that modern special effects technology can offer. The makers of the original animated series can hold their heads up against the best that today's computers can do and everyone who works, or has worked, so hard to entertain us can feel that their contribution is equally valued.
That said, I am genuinely delighted with the direction that this new series is taking. The level of creativity is amazing, the character actors charming and the storylines clear and engaging. It appears to be correctly pitched for a younger audience but is still able to respect its older following.
The Great Bird of the Galaxy would be very pleased.
