Romantic, but strained
lor_9 June 2021
Scripting is the defect (as usual) in this Girlfriends feature, erring on the side of over-sentimentalized scenes.

First half of the show is oddly ritualistic, as a quartet of young beauties celebrate the 100th anniversary of a diary having been buried, by reading the rescued book aloud, while sitting together topless.

Vocalized passages inspire flashbacks, not of the diary characters from a century ago but rather of the current quartet recalling sex with each other. Motley casting matches sexy Zoey Monroe with svelte Avi Love, while busty Italian import Valentina Nappi takes on blonde Emma Starletto.

Second half of the show is a reunion for four girls who grew up together. Gia Derza plays the shy one, who ends up being sexually initiated by the odd woman out, Carter Cruise, who verbal mention underscores her being older than the others. Gracie Green ends up huming Jane Wilde, latter playing Gia's sister.
