Now THAT'S how you kick off a series!
This was pretty much a perfect episode of Loki but also a win for Marvel. I loved the first season of this series and this episode alone is about as good as some of those. The stakes were actually very high, the tension felt intense, and the unrequited time-traveling concept for Loki was a lot of fun.
And the comedic moments in this actually hit? None of the jokes felt forced? And the actors actually delivered all of their lines like naturals? I felt the tension in this, but I also laughed quite a bit.
And Oroboros was so fun. I loved Ke Huy Quan and I hope he's in the rest of this season.
The production was also super solid. Cinematography, set designs, VFX, that SCORE...
I completely forgot there's a new showrunner now until it was over. The quality didn't feel any different from the previous season. My worries are gone.
In other words, Loki is BACK.
