This is one of those episodes that all tenured series earn. By that I mean that the characters are developed so there are not any big reveals and it backfills in the details on how they got to where we know they are. All series have an episode that does this with varying degrees of effectiveness. Shonda Rimes (sp?) deploys her assets beautifully with showing Bailey transitioning from a minnow into a shark, Callie showing where she got her cockiness and Webber ...just being Webber. The episode is incredible and I often rewatch it at home and have even accessed the Netflix App in the car and played Webber's speech for just the impact of his speech.

Exceptional Bottle Episode

The season has been a little flat up to this point, not a lot actually happening. That makes this episode all the better, and needed. The auditorium scenes were great, especially James Pickens Jr. Fantastic music, absolute highlight.
This being a series rewatch, I know the way this season ends is absolutely soul crushing, and thrilling. But, I forgot how uneventful the first half of season 6 actually was. Thankfully the season really picks up from this point. I think a bit to much focus was put on Sloan, which I get, but the plotlines haven't been interesting enough.
Great episode, love hearing Lissie!
