Some peculiarities but...

Warning: Spoilers
Unlike some reviewers of this episode, I didn't find the plot twists that strange.

Angel sleeping with Coco's daughter was hardly shocking. What do you expect from these scumbag bikers? They lie, cheat and steal their way to a living and just because they are exalted in a TV series doesn't mean a dose of reality isn't warranted.

It's also not surprising that EZ offed his former girlfriend. That was based on the "blood is thicker than water" premise. He chose to protect his brother over someone innocent whom he had a past relationship with. Hardly surprising. If you thought EZ had some kind of virtue, that was proven false long ago and I would say you haven't been paying attention to all of the heinous things he has done. By choice I might add. I personally believe in the "you can pick your friends but you can't pick your family" premise.

The one thing that made no sense is the shenanigans at the hospital and the fact EZ and company appear to have gotten away with it and somehow Manny escaped unharmed. There are cameras everywhere. Gabby loudly called out EZ's name. There is no way he could just stroll home and boink his latest in peace, after killing his ex (and you thought Angel was bad). There would be cops everywhere. Massive plot hole.

It's 2022

Warning: Spoilers
And they attack in a hospital? There are apparently no security cameras in the 2022 of this show's world. Their faces would be plastered every freaking where. Olmos is wasted in this show as he just mopes and shows up every now and then. EZ killing Gabby was expected (by me as soon as she said she'd go to the cops), but wasn't necessary unless they're trying too hard to show how being locked up kills you inside to paraphrase Dog Pound Chick. Bishop has become a Terrible Twos toddler. The show rambles worse than this review. Angel getting beat down for bleeping his so-called "brother's" daughter was the only really good part. The writing is bad and lazy. The plot has no real focus. They never should have gotten rid of Sutter.

Warning: Spoilers
Maaannnn this show. Maybe it's time to bring Sutter back. What is this writing? Where are we going? What are we doing? "I can't believe he made it out" cop out for Manny was almost as bad as Canche mysteriously surviving a bombing with just a burn on the back of his head. Lazy writing. That's "somehow Palpatine returned" levels of laziness. Wasted Coco's *entire* character arc a few episodes ago and now Gaby.. I mean cmon, what? Why?? I can officially say I now hate watch this show, it's so far from enjoyable. If it weren't for the cast, I would've dipped by now. See y'all next week.

Guys, WTAF? Warning: Spoilers
Why are you killing off characters like flies? Why would Ez do such a thing? It's not even in keeping with his character. This show is off the rails. After this, just kill off Ez too and find another lead, what he did is unforgivable and no one in their right mind can root for him ever again.

This show had potential.... Warning: Spoilers
They could've accomplished everything they did thematically without needing to be so contrived. When the protagonist does something this wildly out of character (like come up with a plan to shoot up a hospital for revenge.) you start to feel robbed. EZ, who's apparently this 'Beautiful Mind' level of genius, comes up with a completely nonsensical plan that gets an innocent father/husband killed for doing his job and then him and his brother kidnap his ex girlfriend who just happened to be there in front of a ton of witnesses and then he blows her brains out for wanting justice for the innocent man?! AS IF that would happen. EZ is completely beyond redemption at this point, which is fine, but they did it in such a cheap and forced way that wasn't earned. It's not believable that EZ would be that stupid and evil all of a sudden.

Season 4 is a train wreck;A bunch of useless subplots that don't matter and the plots that do matter don't make sense. I can only hope this is all to fast-track EZ's downward spiral so that this can be the last season. The foundation has crumbled, anything that happens aside from the Reyes brothers immediately being found and charged with murder will make no sense they are in the system there were so many witnesses and cameras everywhere while they shot and killed a security guard and kidnapped an employee . I'm basically gonna be watching hoping Ez dies. He handicapped an innocent child while trying to murder someone from his own club, he murdered an innocent woman who loved him because she witnessed his idiotic plan to commit other murders fall apart and wanted justice for her friend; all to protect his pos brother who bangs his own members barely legal daughter in that members house days after he was murdered . The only way they can even give EZ a love interest at this point is by sending in a girl that killed her own kid with neglect who doesn't care about the truth of who he is. What a joke. RIP Mayans, you had potential.

Murderers

I mean with SOA, mostly everyone they killed either had it coming or were straight up evil. This season, they're just making us hate the protagonist for no reason. Ended up killing innocent people and were supposed to root for EZ and the club? Other charters had it right.

Horrible.

Warning: Spoilers
This season just keeps getting worse.

Last season was so good that it made me re-watch the entire Sons of Anarchy series.

I was hyped for the new season, but it has been a huge disappointment.

Interesting characters like Galindo, Emily and Felipe turned into worthless background. Bishop is unbearable with his attitude, and the whole Adelita thread is now really tiresome.

And on top of all that, EZ did something that made no sense. But I guess if you are trash, you have to protect other trash.

The only good thing about this season was that they finally killed off Coco, who was one of the most annoying characters in the entire series.

I will finish watching this season, but it might be my last one. I hope it actually is THE last one.

A Disappointing Ride

Mayan's MC Season 4, Episode 7: A Disappointing Ride

The latest instalment of Mayan's MC Season 4 left much to be desired. From start to finish, the episode struggled to find its footing, with weak writing and a plot that failed to engage.

One of the biggest letdowns was the dialogue, which felt forced and lacked the authenticity that fans have come to expect from the series. Characters seemed to be going through the motions rather than driving the story forward with meaningful interactions.

Additionally, the plot itself felt disjointed and rushed. It seemed like the writers were trying to cram too much into one episode, resulting in a jumbled mess of storylines that never quite came together. Subplots were introduced and quickly abandoned, leaving viewers feeling unsatisfied and confused.

Another issue was the lack of character development. While previous seasons have done a great job of fleshing out the members of the Mayan's MC, this episode felt like a step backward. Characters were reduced to one-dimensional stereotypes, with little depth or nuance.

Furthermore, the pacing of the episode was off, with key moments feeling rushed while others dragged on unnecessarily. This imbalance made it difficult for viewers to stay engaged and invested in the story.

Overall, Mayan's MC Season 4, Episode 7 fell short of expectations. With weak writing, a disjointed plot, and underdeveloped characters, it's hard to recommend this episode to fans of the series. Here's hoping that future episodes can recapture the magic that made Mayan's MC great in the first place."
