With Viktor Sams people have taken over control of the ship. He wants to teach the passengers a morality lesson.

The ship will be destroyed and there are nine seats left in the helicopter. There will be a bidding war for a seat.

The ship's crew as well as Rufus, Hilde and a few others are allowed to escape in lifeboats.

Some like Celia Chun refuses to engage in an auction. Willing to accept her and her family's fate.

Others engage is devious means to escape. Hustle for money or just steal a helicopter.

Maybe there was a countdown here. This was a much better episode, it flowed well until the big reveal. Which itself is a bit of a cheat.

I know Death and Other Details opened in the first episode with Rufus telling the viewer to really watch closely for the details. Well the details the director allowed you to see. I had an hard time accepting the reveal.

Interesting and unexpected

Warning: Spoilers
I disagree with both of the other reviews and I enjoyed this episode. Kira changed more than just hair, she changed eye color and had plastic surgery for the character change from Kira to Vistor Sams. Just because it is the same actress doesn't mean they look the same. Makeup artist use prosthetics and can make people look different. Also, yes this series is about solving Kira's murder but it was mostly about who is Victor Sams, and he/she has always been shown as a megalomaniac running everything. I don't think you were paying attention to the first 8 episodes. They weren't even asking, who killed Kira, they were asking, who is Victor Sams, and now we know. I thought it was a good twist and I didn't see it coming. And even though I love Murders in th Building, I wish people would stop comparing these two shows. I think they are very different. This reminded me more of Murder at the End of the World, which I also found interesting and entertaining. Episode 10 wraps everything up well. If you have only watched through 9, keep going.

Really? This show was a waste of time!

I love a good mystery and this is not it. I have only stuck with it praying for a pay off. It did not come.

Once I recognized that Kira and Hilde were played by the same actor, I knew she was Viktor Sams. What bugs me is not one person recognizing her or at least saying that she resembles Kira.

The show portrays Imogene as this observant sleuth and she doesn't recognize the mother she has been obsessing over for years. She only changed her hair and eye color. She is one step away from Clark Kent's glasses. The governor and Mrs. Chun didn't recognize her either.

We were played for fools along with the cast. It is not a mystery, but a hoax.

Warning: Spoilers
This has been a drawn out murder mystery and all of a sudden they decided to flip things on their head and have a powerful megalomaniac deciding people's fates.

I am all for a show going all out for a season finale and making things extreme, but this was too much of a deviation from what the whole point of the series was.

It was entertaining, but I just think this was a step in the wrong direction. I wanted to know who killed Kira and with this ending they ruined the previous eight episodes.

Not sure what the writers were thinking and hopefully the next episode can kind of save things for me.
