Dear Edward returns this week with more of the same. Eddie continues to struggle and speaks to Marina about Jordan; Adriana keeps her promise to Becks and is conflicted over her future; Deedee is still angry but talks to Steve; Sam is confused over his identity. At times, the show feels like it's dragging its heels without much in the way of an identity beyond characters working through grief. Hopefully the episodes ahead pick things up. Episode 6 of Dear Edward begins with Deedee working through her finances and taking breaks to smash the wall in with a hammer. She finds Steve asleep on the floor and takes him under her wing. Eddie and Shay meet Marina and sneak into the museum. Marina is confused as she used to come to the museum with Jordan, but he longed to have a life of his own. Jordan wanted to find out where Eddie ended and Jordan began, which explains why he didn't want to be home-schooled. Eddie's chat with Marina doesn't go down well with Shay, who is sidelined in favour of him trying to get answers. Eddie's delay and talking about Marina outside is enough for Shay to leave. Adriana and Kojo continue to get along well, and Adriana promises to be there for Becks. However, Koji is concerned and tells her to stay away in private. Adriana attends a fundraiser and meets Eric, who points out that she's built for this life and contemplates what their life may have together. Sam is going through the wars and eventually opens up to Lacey and admits that he and Ben were more than friends. He meets Sienna and begins flirting with her. Eddie and Lacey are discussing the letters from Marina they've been keeping from him. John returns from his trip to Colorado and decides to leave for the night. Linda is staying with them for the time being, and Eddie calls Marina to explain how important Jordan was to him and what happened on the plane. He is forced to relive the encounter and struggles to deal with his grief. Linda is the sole survivor of a crash that has killed hundreds of people, including her fiancé Gary. She knows that she will lose her job soon, which will make her unable to pay her rent. She is initially uncomfortable about accepting help from Lacey, but the latter assures her that it's fine. Edward is the "Miracle Boy," but he doesn't necessarily feel that his survival was miraculous. His young age has shielded him from the enormity of his loss, but not completely.
