In "Dear Edward" episode 7, Edward got to know Mahira, Jordan's girlfriend, and Shay was jealous of Edward's attention. Charles's financial troubles were causing Dee Dee a lot of crises, and Linda was pregnant and had nobody to take care of her. Steve, who slept with Amanda, felt terrible guilt for what he had done, and Sam and Kojo had a deeper relationship than just being friends. Adriana spent a special night with Kojo in the hope that he would change his mind and stay in New York. In episode 7, Edward is shown growing close to Mahira and texting her frequently, which Shay finds annoying. Edward is trying to be a good friend to Shay and help her reach perfection in roller derby, but when her match came around, he discovered that Shay's father wasn't happy with her playing roller derby and wanted her to play a more mainstream sport. Shay changed her mind and decided not to pursue roller derby. Edward didn't like this, but felt guilty for falling for Mahira because she was the one who had known his brother very closely. Dee Dee started talking to Steve about her financial concerns with reference to selling the house and paying for her daughter's college. In the interim, she received a bottle of wine from Charles that he had previously bought for their 25th wedding anniversary. Sam invited everyone from the grief group to his house, where Dee Dee gifted Sam and his wife the wine. Despite how pricey the wine was, she had to try it for a while. She drank the wine alone in her home while wishing Charles a happy anniversary. Zoe, who was determined to make travel arrangements to Barcelona, later decided against going and spent time with her mother instead. Steve and Amanda reconnected, and Steve made an effort to treat her nicely. Amanda and Steve appeared to have patched things up, but Sam learned that Ben was truly in love with Sam. Sam acted as if there was nothing between them, even though he was aware that there was more than just friendship between them. The acting on the show, which delivers its melodrama in a restrained manner, is what makes all of its narratives work best-especially Connie Britton, whose character is perhaps the most rounded, and she plays with maturity.

Here's what happens in the latest episode of Dear Edward that focuses on these characters' discoveries. Be aware that there are spoilers ahead. Sam's wife senses his interest in Vernon and brings up the subject of Ben's sexuality. Sam tries to evade answering the question by saying he does not think Ben was gay, but you can sense that there is a history between him and Ben. Zoe comes to meet Dee Dee and shares her plan to stay back for a while to help her process her emotions. Edward is trying to understand his interest in Mahira, and Dylan is providing advice. Now that she has asked him to meet, he is unsure of the future of their relationship.

The show is losing me
hosenoggin6 March 2023
What started is pretty decent story plot has now turned into a "This is us" or "A million Little things" wannabe. It's a total rip off of those type of convoluted widespread non-connecting story shows. The present stories are just not connecting with me and I'm having trouble following timelines, time shifts, invisible characters, who is with who, etc. Etc. Etc. At Episode 7, I thought the show would get more interesting, but it just seems to be getting less and less interesting with each episode. The only story worth following is the "Edward: story itself, which is getting bent and twisted with the neighbors story and the brothers old girlfriend. Its all too much, and too hard to follow now.
