It's like they tried to tap into the many 'possession' horror films that were hugely popular at the time, and base it on one. It had an awesome cast, Adrian Dunbar, Mark Lethern, Tamzin Outhwaite etc, but somehow it just doesn't seem to work that well, it jumps about quite a lot.
I think it's the actual story itself that doesn't quite seem to work, Silent Witness had always been real and true to life, this felt like the first time they tried to do something a little off the wall and didn't quite get it right. The acting as always can't be faulted, Adrian Dunbar is very good, Jodie Comer is excellent as young Eve. Nina Sosanya is in a different role for her as DS Brooks, nice to see her cast in a rough around the edges role.
It's quite a disappointing episode, quite confusing, make sure you watch it sober! 5/10
