A couple errors
moov_e_c_er24 February 2023
There is no way In the world a firefighter trained in all sorts of first aid would ever find someone, anyone and just go grab, flip and pickup without any assessment on the scene, would not be careful to turn a person over, would not just pick someone up. As for the drama of the moment and to make it faster makes sense but to avoid such a specific miss of standard let alone even in emotional moment.

I really hate I have to do long review now. It's not worth it. My point is fine and I still have one hundred characters to go.

Also personally I have not liked the Bishop character for many seasons. She is so grossly unlikeable in every manner, but the actress is hot. The end for now.

A very trying episode. #savestation19

Warning: Spoilers
Firstly, the choice that Ben had to make, for the first time, to save one victim rather than risk losing two is rather hard to see (without forgetting that he himself is injured and caught between the flames) but very well interpreted.

That he falls from the roof in front of Andy's eyes, reminding him of his father's death, is also very touching.

This intervention gives Théo a lot of trouble. They are all stuck in the burning house and the only way to find Ben is not to ask for his firefighters to be withdrawn... and luckily he didn't do that.

Second, Maya Bishop has been my favorite character since the very first episode. We may not like her but we can also try to understand her past and the mental disorders that she has accumulated since her childhood. She doesn't listen to anyone, she self-medicates, she puts herself in danger to the point of ending up in a hospital bed with the risk of dying from the slightest physical effort. I think it's extremely well written but also magnificently well acted by the two actresses, Danielle & Stefania. We feel that they love their characters and that they give their all to it. Indeed it is to see Carina requesting internment by force but this seems to be the only solution to save Maya from herself. (in this case there are countries where it is possible that someone in the family or even the doctor asks it)

Station 19 treats all mental illnesses to different degrees and it's so well done, written and performed. Perhaps to understand it you have to have been directly or indirectly affected by all of this.

Guest star

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is, so far, average for this and other drama series with the usual fare of interpersonal drama, comedic moments and an emergent medical event affecting a regular cast member that will, I'm sure, stir great drama and maybe fuel multiple episodes this season before a diagnosis and cure is ultimately found.

What drew my attention is catching the name of one of the guest stars, Sharon Gless of the 80's police drama Cagney & Lacey. I enjoyed the show as a young adult but wondered on occasion what happened to the principal actors in the titular roles. It doesn't appear to be much of a role, mostly a small appearance but she and the others were great to see & added a bit of sparkle to what would otherwise been just more of the same.

Police bad.

Warning: Spoilers
So Disney Corps continuing crusade against anything decent marches on. The never ending attempt by the Mouse House and it's various networks to vilify law enforcement agents is sickening.

The only points this episode gets are solely for the appearance of the amazing Sharon Gless. Remember how amazing Cagney and Lacey was? It's an almost painful reminder how awful the current state of television is.

So now I still have to fill the rest of this review to meet IMDB'S foolish requirement for 600 characters in every review. So let's remember how awesome Cagney and Lacey was and forget this garbage.

Absolutely terrible
RaSa092712 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
That was such a manipulative terrible mental health storyline. A spouse, even a medical doctor, cannot order a psych hold. They can request an evaluation. No spouse would have been in the room to make the threat. And no medical professional would threaten a patient with stay or else then immediately threaten restraints.

Maya has always been my favorite, but this show has dragged her through one misogynistic, abusive storyline after another. And now started on an absolutely toxic storyline that does nothing to destigmatize mental health. In a show that promotes strong female characters, how have they allowed a misogynistic demotion and no hearing and bullying and abusive behavior against a female character to last for a season and a half.
