Leonard and Penny's relationship is explored in "The Decoupling Fluctuation" ep of "The Big Bang Theory"

In this ep of "The Big Bang Theory": Penny's been telling Amy and Bernadette about how he she loves Leonard but not enough to really commit to him. When Amy tells Sheldon while they and the rest of the gang-minus Howard who's still in space or Bernadette but with Stuart now-are at the movies, Sheldon later goes to Penny's apartment-while she's sleeping-and tells her she should stay with Leonard since he hates change. Meanwhile, Howard has been the target of several mean jokes from his two astronaut-mates. I'll stop there and just say this series continues to fire on all cylinders most of the time with the change of ways characters interact or of settings. Still, I'm looking forward to when Howard is back on Earth with the rest of the cast..

As Wolowitz floats in space, the rest of the gang continue. As the three women get together, Penny is asked if she loves Leonard. She hesitates and Amy lets Sheldon know. This means he has to keep a secret and it tears at him. Stuart takes on Howard's job with the others and Sheldon is really mean to him. Some decent interactions, mainly based on Sheldon's paranoia.

One of the best episodes I have seen in a long time

Couldn't help myself from writing this after seeing this particular episode. It was one of the best episodes I have seen in a long time....

Full of genuinely ROFL moments it really was a treat and lightened my mood in a big way. Good to see the screenplay bringing back the witty flair and giving the new season a terrific start. Scenes of Sheldon never holds back in dazzling you. Moreover the rest of the cast and specially the ones involving Howard are hilarious. The taunts of Sheldon to the new member of the crew is fun. Have to mention, The outsourcing joke over Indians never gets old. Looking forward to the rest of the season....

Some emotion from Sheldon!

"Please don't hurt my friend" Nuff said. I was crying ugly tears when Sheldon said it to Penny! This is the first time that Sheldon admits that he truly cares for someone. Nothing scientific, just plain old feelings. I'm still crying an hour after watching the episode. Sheldon reminds me so much of my little brother that has severe Asperger's Syndrome. He has a hard time showing emotion, he doesn't react well to change, he's very book smart, but has next to no common sense. Very good episode. The writers do such a good job with Sheldon and Jim Parsons plays the character perfectly. Love love love this show!

The girls are opening wedding gifts from everyone where Amy mentions that she might marry Sheldon in four years if he' able for it. Then they ask Penny if she loves Leonard but she has never said love to him and also says her relationship is more boring. Then the guys once talk to Sheldon again. Steward walks in the door and Sheldon does not want him to go to the films. Amy then tells Sheldon that Penny might breakup with Leonardo so he must keep the secret while still holding her hand. Sheldon then tells Leonardo that he cannot tell him the secret he is holding about his relationship. Leonard then says that Sheldon's relationship has made him have more relationship feelings. Then in the middle of the night goes into Penny's room and almost scares her to death. Sheldon then tells Penny that he knows about her feelings towards Leonard so he try' to keep her with him. Penny then calls Amy to give out to her but Sheldon calls after to warn him about Penny. Howard then tells Bernadette that the other people is space are being mean to him. First time the show mentions The Avengers and it's in the context of Sheldon mentioning he should date someone else. Then when Penny try's to breakup with him he puts on a face so she sleeps with him also she tells the other guys. Better then last weeks episode but this whole plot with Howard in space and away from the group is not working. Also these early seems to be about the guys relationships and how they could end.

Everything worked here for me other than the continually annoying 'Howard in space' storyline.

It just doesn't work. It's not funny, the character of Howard isn't well-rounded enough for us to really care two hoots about it, and I admit to skipping past most of it.

It's such a shame too, because there's some great stuff in the other storylines, with Sheldon's inability to keep a secret and then the tender moment between him and Penny proving to be lovely.

I really hope Howard is back on the ground soon, because his whole NASA plot is proving to be about as dull as it could possibly be.

Fine overall.

I love every episode of the Big Bang Theory but this one kind of makes me mad lol. The entire show is based on Penny saying she might want to dump Leonard when she literally NEVER said anything of a kind- lol! Amy & Bernadette were putting words in her mouth the entire time and it just goes to show you how things can get blown out of proportion when going through the nerdvine. I mean grapevine. No, I mean nerdvine- lol. But that's all I had to say. Still love the show but the girl gossip here kinda pissed me off because I've been a victim to a similar situation, I guess lol.
