Howard is becoming insufferable, talking about his trip to space every minute he's with other people. He is boring them all. Finally, Sheldon lets him know this. He is really hurt but deserves it. The other focus is on Raj and Stuart's Halloween party which has some dynamite action between Leonard and Penny. The Smurfs are pretty good as well.

"The Holographic Excitation" was another fine ep of "The Big Bang Theory"
tavm29 November 2012
In this ep of "The Big Bang Theory": Howard can't stop talking about his space adventures which annoy everybody especially wife Bernadette. Stuart once again holds his annual Halloween costume party at his comic store but he always has trouble meeting women there so Raj offers his services at preparing one. Penny attempts to know Leonard better by visiting his lab. And Amy & Sheldon can't agree on which couples costume to wear-Raggedy Ann & Andy or R2D2 & C3PO? I'll stop there and just say this was another great ep of "The Big Bang Theory" especially when further exploring the nuptials of Howard and Bernadette. Oh, and there's a nice cameo of Buzz Aldern at the end which lends some poignancy when watching since his partner from that historic moon landing, Neil Armstrong, died just a few months ago.

While planning for the party Raj comes up with so many ideas while Howard continues to talk about space. While Howard still talks about Space he interrupts his love making with Bernadette who tells him to stop. Penny continues to see Leonard's at work making their relationship stronger. Finally! The show reflects what we have all been thinking. We are all pig sick with the 'Howard is an astronaut/Howard is in space' plot line! Thank goodness.

This storyline has bored me from the start, so it was nice that the other characters finally shared my feelings.

As for the episode as a whole, there were some nice moments of character development here.

From Penny's slow burning realisation that she's falling for Leonard, to some actual realistic scenes between Howard and Bernadette. Anything is better than the awful storylines when he was up in space I know, but this wasn't too bad from my least favourite characters in the show.

I'm still not sure about Stuart being in things more regularly, he's a stock side-line character, and fleshing him out isn't working so far. They'd be better off trying to actually do something with Raj. Anything really. Now there is a good character.

Overall, a good enough episode.
