Scotland as seen by the people who live there - feature-length documentary.

This is a moving, funny, inspiring film about Scotland through the eyes of the Scots themselves - often self-deprecating, and full of wry humour as only the Scots can do it! Director Nick Higgins has done a great job in pulling together such diverse offerings from all over Scotland, and Editor Colin Monie has accomplished an amazing feat in making it so watchable, pacy, and exciting. It is the first Scottish documentary to ever receive a theatrical release from a commercial cinema chain. Among the highlights are a walking, talking, video log from a real Scottish "character" as he sojourns in the Highlands battling sore feet and midges, and the moving self-told story of a woman regaining her hearing after years of deafness. It features urban landscapes alongside the wild scenery of mountain, and loch, and sea, from the Scottish Borders to the Western and Northern Isles. Passionate social commentary is interwoven with moments of rich fantasy. See it if you can...
