After blowing the whistle on a colleague, Detective Grace Narayan is sent to a small Welsh Island. On her first day she encounters The local GP Doctor Pridaux, who explains that his son Kye vanished a year ago, the investigation proved fruitless.
Midsomer Murders meets The Wicker man, that's my initial feeling. I'll be honest, I thought this was a very enjoyable, very fine first episode.
Toby Whithouse delivers once again, he's written some great stuff, this looks like being another winner.
We're given a few bits of information, we have a disgraced cop, a missing boy, and a very strange group of locals.
I'll say it at this early stage, Anjli Mohindra is a class act, and she is wonderful throughout, what a talented actress.
8/10.
