This seemed like a decent premise on paper, mocking Jim Carrey's infamous Ace Ventura film, but it just did not work. You can only make an "alrighty then" joke so many times before it wears off, but I appreciate the effort.
Geraldine is doing some good work despite some underwhelming scripts this season as Freya, but it is not enough to save what is really bizarre season of the show. They just don't know where they are going and while there are a lot of great options for where things could head given the setting they just don't seem equipped to handle things on a comedic front at all right now.
