Oh, if I was you...

Warning: Spoilers
An extremely mixed bag, this one. It's full of the typically gratuitous violence:Pretty much everyone receives beatings that add nothing to the plot and the Founder casually disposing of a subordinate that speaks out of line is more eye rolling than shocking. The confusion as to who we're exactly meant to be rooting for on this show grows as John gets recast as a deluded cult leader feeding lies to his people to cover up his crimes while Jedikiah...well, who knows.

On one hand, the show's taking risks and getting the plot moving, on the other its hands are tied by plot lines that got introduced a few episodes back without any idea what to do with them:Cara doesn't even try to hide from Jedikiah when she's supposed to be under wraps. The ending, with John refusing to kill Jedekiah, is taken as some sort of moral victory rather than a massively out of character moment where he puts the lives of everyone who trusts him at risk to prove a point.

Simon Merrells playing his part with a mid-Atlantic twang grates more than it should, while Irene manages to be the second best thing in the episode despite only being on screen for about ten minutes. The best thing in the episode is only on screen for FIVE minutes:Nicholas Young, star of the original Tomorrow People, being wise and compassionate and reminding us that once upon a time they hired an actor to play John rather than a pretty boy who can't emote. If only we were watching a show about him...
