The Realization

Warning: Spoilers
This episode finally brings one of the most awaited moments. Kakashi realizes who is the one behind the mask. The battle continues as the Gedo mazo continues its slow transformation. Tobi is determined to protect the statue until the process finishes. After Naruto fails on his first try, Gai and Kakashi accompany him to the fight. With a perfect coordination, Gai uses nunchakus while Tobi uses his chain and the Uchiha weapon. The villain perfectly dodges every attack, but is not able to hit Gai or Naruto, as he has to avoid them at the same time. Kakashi takes the chance to develop his idea: he uses Kamui to make disappear the Gedo Mazo's head. But then, Tobi mysteriously undoes the Kamui, to Kakashi's shock. This was the first hint to the realization. The fight continues, now with Kakashi closer to the villain, and the three try to strike Tobi. Kakashi throws a electrified kunai, but Tobi deflects it towards Naruto. At the end, Kakashi makes the kunai disappear with Kamui, while Naruto tries to hit Tobi, but fails again. The three regroup and ponder how hard is to strike Tobi, and suddenly, a fissure appears on his mask. The Hachibi takes the opportunity to attack the Gedo Mazo, but Tobi summons a red fire barrier to protect the statue. Kakashi, analyzing what caused the fissure in the mask, realizes it was the kunia he threw. He gets the second hint. He thinks it's not possible, but there's a chance to be true. He devises a plan with Gai and Naruto to test his theory. Gai tries to surprise Tobi after sending a rock debris towards him, and then attacks with the nunchakus. Tobi gets through everything, and then sees Naruto approaching with a Rasengan. But in the right moment, Kakashi warps it with Kamui, before Naruto can strike Tobi. Then, the Uchiha gets through Naruto's hand, but is mysteriously hit by an invisible attack on his back. This way, Kakashi confirms his theory, and explains Gai, Naruto and B, the secret space time ninjutsu that Tobi uses. He reveals that his Kamui is connected to the same dimension Tobi uses to dodge every attack. So Tobi can get through anything by simply "teleporting" the body part to his dimension, which is the same where Kamui sends things. The others are stunned to learn that Kakashi and Tobi's eyes share the same dimension. So Kakashi asks the Uchiha where he got the Sharingan. And there he gets the final hint. The realization. "Where you say...Well, it was during the past world war. The fight at the Kannabi bridge. That fight where you got to be called. The hero with the Sharingan". Kakashi is shocked and says "You..." But Obito continues "I told you not to open your mouth so easily! You're just words and no actions, what someone like you says is worth nothing! It's too late to regret. Reality is just cruelly moving forward. You've seen reality, you should be able to understand... No wish can become true in this world. That's why I'm pursuing the dream of the Infinite Tsukuyomi. I want to build a world where heroes don't have to make pitiful excuses in front of graves." Kakashi remembers his time before Rin's grave, and starts breathing heavily. He is in complete shock, as all the memories, all the pain comes to his mind. Gai gets worried and asks if he is ok. That was it. The realization. Perfect, brilliant writing. Obito Uchiha said a lot on his speech. He took all his anger, angst, against Kakashi for breaking his promise. One could say that it was just because of Rin's death. But it's clear that loneliness has hit hard on Obito. He had to feel Rin's death, and also to see how Kakashi kept living in Konoha, becoming a renowned shinobi with his eye. Obito chose to accept his death by giving his best his left eye to Kakashi, and encharging him to protect Rin, but at the end, he was forced to live and see his life turned upside down. He accumulated resentment, anger, frustration, sadness, feelings of depression, after losing the little things he had. Can be said that he has lost total hope in the shinobi world because it took his parents life, Rin's, and how own. Obito is aware that he lost, his parents surely at the ninja war, and then, the fateful day came when he had the fatal accident on the mission to Kannabi bridge. He was just a boy. That's why he lost all reason, his mind, and followed the dark path. And now, Kakashi is shocked, completely disturbed, shaken. Such news impact him. To learn that his old friend, the one who inspired him to be a better person, to forgive his father, to acclaim the meaning of teamwork, saving a comrade, was actually alive all this time. And worst, to realize that he has become a villain who wants to break the world. For all this part, the episode was great. How was built, step by step, Kakashi's realization. The battle showing each idea, great coordination by Gai and Obito. Kakashi's mind working to understand.

Then, Naruto gets tired of Tobi's speech about the world, and insists that his dream of Hokage will become true. People encharged him many things. But Obito asks him, what he is going to do if he fails his mission? What will Jiraiya and the 4th Hokage think of him? What he is going to think about himself? After all, the cruel reality is waiting, and at the end they will be empty. Naruto remembers Jiraiya's and Minato's encharge to find the answer, and remains silent. Kurama is enraged to see this, and asks the jinchuriki to switch. The Fox warns Tobi that his words won't affect Naruto. Remembering the last encounter with Minato, Kurama says that the 4th Hokage left him in charge of Naruto. And he was sealed inside him, in order to defeat Tobi. Then, Naruto enters the Nine tailed Fox mode and runs towards the villain. This part wasn't bad, as Obito was testing Naruto's faith. Like Nagato asked, nothing can confirm his success. So how can he guess that he won't fail? Because if he does, what is going to happen? Then, Kurama's intervention was curious, I never thought he'd jump in to defend Naruto the way he did. And that because there's a tiny tiny little detail, which was seemingly forgotten: Kurama tried to kill Naruto when he was just an innocent baby. Not only that, he was controlled by Tobi, and tried to kill Kushina. And still, the obvious fact: Tobi is the main responsible of Minato and Kushina's death. I mention this because Kurama should not behave like he was Naruto's best friend, uncle, or whatever. He has to admit his own mistakes, or be quiet. Tobi could have reminded him of how wild he was the night when Naruto's parents died. And for this reason, I don't get Naruto's attitude while facing Tobi. Kushina told him all the story, so now he knows that Tobi is responsible of his parents death, his past loneliness, sadness, tears in the dark. He didn't meet the love of a mother and a father because of what the masked man did. So why Naruto doesn't even mention it??? Say something! Just as Kishimoto wrote perfect all the dialogues between Kakashi and Obito, he wrote poorly Naruto's lines towards the villain.
