I'm always disappointed by pilots to new shows. Here we are introduced to a bunch of people, each a real stereotype. We have TC who is the greatest surgeon in the world, but he won't listen to anyone. He learned his doctoring in Afghanistan. He is utterly recalcitrant. Then there's Jordan who ends up the chief administrator of the Night Shift. She knows TC and they will be in conflict for a long time. Then there's the administrator who is only interested in cutting costs. And the rest are a band of rebels who totally ignore all the rules. It's all about liability. They perform miracles every five minutes or so. I'll give this a couple more chances because these things take time. I know that at Emmy time this did pretty well.
