My Friends Call Me Dig
ThomasDrufke25 February 2015
It seems like we are finally heading towards the crazy latter half of the season, as Arrow seasons always are. Whether it's actually Ras as the big baddie this season or somehow it turns out to be Malcom, we only have 8 episodes left. Tonight's episode saw several great character interactions, and it also presented us with another glimpse of Ras Al Ghul. The main reason season 2 still resonates more than this season is because Slade was in every episode from 9-23. He was constantly pulling Team Arrow's leg with all of his many tricks and plans. Ras has barely been on the show this year, so I hope that changes.

One thing that will sure have people talking is whether or not Ras was seen in the Lazarus Pit. I have heard they built the pit on set so I would assume we will see it shortly. I still feel like there is more to Oliver's 'death' than we have been led to believe. I'm sorry I just don't think a human being survives that fall and stab wound without some sort of help. Back in Star City we had many great character moments. I was glad to see the Thea-Laurel conflict not be played out for too long. Thea needs closure for her actions. Or maybe just something as simple as what Roy does with the family he helps, she has been through so much pain in these 3 seasons. I wonder how this will play out with Thea and Nyssa down in the lair. Thea wont die, I don't think, but perhaps some sort of agreement or team up is in store.

It's pretty crazy to think about how different the show is from last season and in particular, Team Arrow. Felicity is sleeping with Ray and Laurel pretty much hates Oliver's guts. The women Oliver used to depend on are slowly drifting away from him. But it was nice to see Oliver and Dig both working together in the field again. But did they kill those assassins? It sure seemed like it. The scene with Dig asking him to be his best man was pretty touching as well. Oliver confessed he is still haunted by the fact that Ras beat him and now that he wants him to be his apprentice, the whole latter half of this season is shaping up to be quite different than we expected. It makes me think that Malcom may very well be the main villain, after he inevitably escapes from Nanda Parbat.

I'm truly not sure where we are headed from here on out, but tonight did a good job of building momentum. Although, I think this episode is likely better served watching as a two parter. It's worth noting that Palmer now has a working ATOM suit. I don't know how I feel about him having flight powers. I would like to see the shrinking ability on the show at some point.

+Dig & Ollie together again

+Lazarus Pit possibility?

+Suspense building character drama

+Laurel & Thea have a strong episode

+Best man

-Team Arrow is getting twisted

-Better served as a two parter, now we have to wait 3 weeks...

Stephen Amell show but Laural Lance sucks
maysanketk17 May 2023
Oliver Queen as a character is totally ruling Season 3 like other 2 seasons till now... Be it his life after 5 years or during his 5 years venture.... It's been shown beautifully till now... Everyone else is doing good in their role too.. My only compalin is regarding LAURAL LANCE... Since Season 2 her character starts getting on my nerves and in this episodes it crossed all limits... Her character is annoying to the core... Level of irrigation she is giving us OMG 🤦... STILL THIS EPISODE AND SEASON TILL NOW IS BEING LED BY CHARACTERS OLIVER and RAAS AL GHUL.... Totally skipped Laurals part because of the headache is is giving me for past few episodes.

Nanda Parbat
SpideyVerse2320 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This was mostly a character-driven episode with each character having a mostly clear motivation for their actions.

Oliver and Thea have been training with Malcolm in their base, which has been given tighter security, courtesy of Dig and ARGUS. Thea is very angry with Malcolm for drugging and manipulating her into killing Sara and she makes some big choices to cope with it. Roy tries to help her in the situation in a way which made sense.

Laurel gets some great moments in this episode, with her confronting Oliver for keeping the truth about Sara's death a secret, trying to take on Malcolm and her genuine moment with Nyssa bonding over memories of Sara.

But the best part of this episode were the Oliver and Dig moments with both of them finally accepting how important they are to each other.

When is Nyssa getting her own show?

Warning: Spoilers
Seriously though, Ms Law was one of the best things about this week's episode. The ATOM suit was probably the worst; it looks really cheap and vaguely ridiculous. Yet the more I see of Brandon Routh (literally this week, though he seems to have gained a little weight round the middle) the more I'm convinced that he should still be Superman. Much as I enjoyed the character interactions this week (and please, can Felicity just be left with Ray? All this bed-hopping is getting boring) they were really only preamble to Malcolm's capture and torture at Nanda Parbat and I was so delighted that Malcolm practically cried when Ra's sentenced to him to his long overdue death, the right acting choice from Mr Barrowman for a change! It was probably inevitable that Oliver and Dig would be captured however, but the 'offer' was really well done, even though I knew it was coming, I was still impressed. But shouldn't Oliver be bummed that he's the second choice after Batman?

Awful
jcff-239-72806728 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
How anyone can watch this crap simply unimaginable? Which actor in this episode didn't cry every few minutes again and again. WTF am I watching here? The last episodes were as equally awful, simply, having to be fast forwarded. Constantly ending in the same stupidity they started with. Chinese prisons with the release mechanism, next to the cells, because guess who designed them. Canaries aren't Arabic descending from generations of family lines of sirens with superhero powers. That's right they are dumbasskick the second. Also his sister and father are on that team as well as everybody else. Do us all a favour and drop a nuke on these idiots, but they must cartwheel so well, no they really don't at all

Present action amounting to the league of assassins standing about in open ground getting one shot. Not guarding their prison, finally mysteriously capturing. Those ninja's having no clue, how somebody escaped/resurrected the first time are dumb indeed. Having also captured Ollie better in previous episodes, then the two man team they sent after Malcolm, inconsistently. But then getting captured themselves, that didn't unleash batman begins nothing would. All so Malcolm soul can be saved for teen arrow, after they all cried about it.

This is a superhero series. Not jersey shore or some other lame soap opera. Modelling itself on Kickass 2. Where petty pointless squabbles take air time with lame hipster wannabes. Adding further dementia and fragmented memory loss. Not cool. Ridiculously interrupting the story every few minutes, to jump back and forth with total nonsense, they dead no they really ain't dead. Reintroducing characters again and again, later on, so now there is another face on that teenie arrow soap opera repetition. Providing with lame stupid emotional family drama. Excluding those five actual minutes of superhero content. Amounting to DUN NANANANA the cartwheeling arrow, splat, kapow, there that was all. The clichéd, retarded villains, whom have to make these idiots look so super clever. Brick stops bullets with his head but gets kicked in the nuts, because he doesn't kill those killers. Vertigo has to talk and talk to be really scary, not kill, just punch him the face already because his drugs have worn off. LAMEEEEEEEEEEE

This show is up there in the worse crap on TV... Nothing interesting or even viewable, but it must be like panning for gold trying too watch any mislabelled content, upon finding it, a fools errand for that spec of dust.

Seriously!!
shahadaab9 December 2021
I think this show is turning to another path. Looks like this season is just the beginning (what I liked most about the show is that it is not fictional) the arrow was just a normal human being with extraordinary skills and abilities,, ok his squad is growing, but not super heroes stuff!! Come on!! Seriously!! We have enough of these shows !!

Mistake in title

Name of mountain u title is "Nanga Parbat". You have written it Nanda Parbat.. Correct it and make your show best...It not good when you have such a great show and u don't even know the spell of a famous mountain. Anyhow there are some other problems with that this show is going toward some unrealistic thing like a flash kind of thing appears in a couple of episodes. What you guys are going to get a show of super humans like "Heros". Please keep the arrow as simple as it was. Nothing can beat u guys. This is what I want to say about the show. but there is no option for submitting this review and it says that you have got to write at least 10 lines for this. what is it. Is it a kind of rule or what?
