Eh, that was underwhelming. It was basically a Nostalgia-fest with no storyline and some of the most hideous dialogue I've ever heard. Hardly anybody on this speaks like a normal person would. I hope they don't place Woody in the heart of the next three episodes as the guy is a complete bell.
Dramas like this irritate me immensely because they're automatically given points just for the cool name attached to it (Meadows) and the soundtrack. Strip that away and it was just a boring mess. It's like watching some Am-Dram company attempt to reinvent Trainspotting. without any of the talent required.
If you want to see some real drama set in the 80s or early 90s then try something like Made In Britain.
