I caught this getting ready for work.. had to sit down! My mother passed 10 years ago to cancer and it brought back how she's lived with me throughout these years... But this short film hit you on what it means to hold on and keep on loving and living ! Thanks

This movie is only 15 minutes long but it is very good. It's intense and well written. The little boy only says a few words of the whole film. It's his expressions on his face that tell the story. Well worth watching.

Heart breaking

My heart goes out to the little boy. At first I thought the mother left. Until I seen her purse & keys. Then I saw a piece of mail. That's when I started putting it together. But it was the end for me when she died in the bed. She never left his side & he never left her. I got a little choked up. This was a very good short film.

Sad & lonely short film

The young boy is alone taking on the weight of the world. You wonder where is mom and why did she leave him. He's doing what he's been taught but clues start to point to his mother being there the whole time. Flies, him speaking to her, and finally, the end shows she never left her baby boy, she simply departed to her eternal rest. Very sad. But great film.

True remarkable performance

In such a short time Maceo Smedley has left me speechless and in tears! As you watch him carry the weight of the world at such a young age! The whole production is truly beautiful. Heart wrenching!!!!

One of the best films I have seen

This film got me!!

Think about it. This little guy is not even a teenager and he is one of the best actors out there. He only had about 4 lines in the entire film but he expressed more emotion than most actors express in 2 hours.

The storytelling was amazing. It told so much about this kid's life in less than15 MINUTES. He took care of himself. He brushed his teeth, fixed his meals, attended school every day, did his homework, got good grades, cut his hair, even took ice-cold showers. The only thing he didn't do was wash dishes, darn.

The ending really rocked me. It made me cry to know that this was based on a true story. I have had everyone in my household watch it and have told my friends about it.

We need more excellent films like this. What a GEM. On a scale of 1-10, this one deserves a 15!! It should have won many awards!!

Confused, where is his mother because he is so afraid of being taken away from her. I agree that it is moving, just doesn't have a real beginning or end, only a middle.

I saw this short on Mother's Day and it broke my heart! The fact that it's based on a true story makes it even more heartbreaking. This young man has a future in acting.

Must see

Only caught the last 6-9mins and it's a short film, but I still gotta it at the end. Wow!!! Hart touching. Must see the whole thing but no listing on when it comes on again, or if you can buy it somewhere. I'm on the lookout for it. Gave it 9 out of 10 only cause I didn't get to see it all.
