I watched all the movies and the first two seasons in the same week. In doing so, it seemed to me that the TV series became significantly less magical. Not to say that the movies were ever anything like Bewitched where you could say that any particular happening was supernatural. But the movies definitely had coincidences piling on top of one another to the point where you thought "There is something magical about Cassie" and Abigail too. In the TV series so far, there have been fewer of these. I think the instances where Cassie knew something she shouldn't, or appeared out of nowhere, were fewer and further between. In this episode, we get the definite impression that Cassie is making something happen for a purpose. Abigail notices and intervenes more forcefully in order to bring it to fulfillment faster and end what she perceives as some unwelcome side effects. I also noticed the funny moments a little more easily than in some episodes.
