Jam was the first song off the album Dangerous, which is, in my humble opinion, the best Michael Jackson album. And this song is the perfect song to start it off. The singing, the tune, the beats, it's all amazing.
The music video, on the other hand, is still good, but not by Michael Jackson's standards. It pales in comparison to the videos of Thriller or Smooth Criminal. Sure, the dancing and choreography are definitely there, but it's just not very memorable in the grand scheme of things.
On the other hand, it's a crossover between Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan, and that's pretty awesome. Also, the ending scene can be helpful for anybody who's trying to imitate Michael Jackson's dancing.
