Kirari announces she will no longer support the other family heads. Yumeko and Kaede keep betting until Yumeko runs out of chips again, however, Sumeragi continues to buy her more chips until Kaede bets 100 chips to force her to stop from lack of money. Yumeko suggests Sumeragi bet her life, i.e. to receive a life schedule. Sumeragi refuses at first but after seeing Yumeko's cards she rips out her own fingernails and willingly bets her life. Based on Sumeragi's family wealth Ririka declares Sumeragi's life schedule to be worth 10 Billion. Kaede challenges the decision so Ririka removes her mask, revealing she is actually Kirari in disguise. With Yumeko's bet now totaling 12 Billion Kaede desperately bets his own Life Schedule for 10 Billion and chooses strong. Yumeko reveals Sumeragi's desperation was a plot to deceive Kaede into choosing strong and reveals she has three jacks, beating Kaede's three eights. Kaede ends up billions in debt and loses his council seat. Yumeko and Kirari sit down to discuss their reasons for gambling, with both of them appearing to have some sort of attraction to each other. They declare they are finally ready to gamble.

Yuna Yomotsuki theorizes that many of the distributed votes are being held as proxies for some of the front runners. Meanwhile, Sayaka solves the trapdoor puzzles and descends to the 1st floor before Yumeko and retrieves one of the two lilies. On Yumeko's next turn she also arrives on the 1st floor. However, on the ascent, Yumeko reaches the top first, She had correctly guessed that the outer part of the tower rotated after she opened an outer door, and then used the central staircase to travel down and back up. Having lost by using logic rather than intuition, Sayaka opens one of the outer doors and jumps from the tower. Surprisingly Itsuki Jumps as well, grabbing Sayaka as she falls and they both land on a soft safety mat instead of hard ground. Itsuki takes pleasure in Sayaka thinking that she was falling to her death, reflecting on their opposing characters, the logician verses her own intuitive nature, and she asks Sayaka to be her secretary again.

Jun is put under further pressure as Yumeko and Mary deduce he is using Nanami to cheat for him. With the game now becoming a battle of bluffs, Jun becomes desperate as he stands to obtain a large debt if he doesn't end up in first. Jun manages to move up to first but becomes panicked again when it looks like Nanami will overtake her and tries to coerce her into folding. After some provocation by Yumeko, however, Nanami rebels against Jun's orders. At the end of the match, Mary ends up in first place while Jun ends up in last, as it is revealed that they had switched around the chip values so that Yumeko's were of the least value. As a result, Jun ends up with Yumeko's debt and Mary's debt is cleared, while Nanami is left with the same debt she came in with, but with a new sense of freedom.

Council member Runa Yomozuki acts as judge of their match. It is decided the loser of the match will be expelled. The game is Tarot, using 22 cards valued from 1 - 21 of which 3 will be chosen by Yumeko, Kirari and Ryouta. If a card is facing Yumeko she gains those points, but if it faces away from her she loses the points. If they pick the Fool card valued at Zero Yumeko wins instantly, but only if the Fool is facing her. If it is facing away she loses instantly. If the round ends and Yumeko has any points she wins, if she has less than zero points she loses.

The second round of the Nym Type Zero game begins. Miri Youbami and Miyo Inbami reflect on their past together as children where they developed their own secret communication technique. They use it to reveal their hands to each other, giving them a decided advantage. Mary instructs Suzui which cards to play, and they manage to win the round, forcing Miri to prick her finger on a poisoned needle. The third round begins and Mary bets 1 million and the others call. Mary then reveals that she knows the card distribution because Yuna used the Gilbreath shuffle, preserving the order of the cards, beating Miyo and Miri who did not pay attention to the shuffle. Miyo then instructs Miri to lose, but she collapses from the poison just as she plays the card, forfeiting the game to Mary and Suzui. Later, as Yumeko recovers after Kei helped to inject the antidote, Mary decides that she must become president as Yumeko is too addicted to gambling and risking her life. Meanwhile the election gamble continues, with Kirari amassing a large number of voting chips and is about to be challenged by the Momobami clan.

Yumeko Jabami, a second-year transfer student, arrives at Hyakkaou Academy and is introduced around the school by Class President Ryota Suzui. Ryota warns Yumeko that the wealthier students are likely to drag her into a gambling game to take her money. Later that day, Mary Saotome challenges Yumeko to a modified Jankenpon, where the class will drop cards with "rock" "paper" or "scissors" drawn on them, and the two players must win using only the first three cards they draw. After Yumeko appears to be blasted out of the pot, she offers a final bet worth 10 Million Yen in cash, and crushes Mary after revealing she figured out that she was manipulating the majority of their classmates' votes. In the hallway, Ryota apologizes to Yumeko for his role in helping Mary cheat, and Yumeko offers him some of the winnings for adding to the thrill of the game.

Yumeko is challenged to a game of memory by Itsuki Sumeragi, the daughter of a toy company CEO. Itsuki uses two decks of cards made by her father's company. Despite not having 20 million, Itsuki allows the bet to be accepted as she wants the opportunity to market the products from her father's company. After a close match, Itsuki wins. Yumeno demands a rematch to get it back and Itsuki accepts under the condition that she bets her fingernails and toenails. Itsuki brings out two new decks and comments on how she can tell what each of the cards are by the subtle differences in the patterns on the back. However, Yumeko picks up on her scheme and wins on the first turn. Afterwards, Kirari and her student council members gather with the objective of eliminating Yumeko.

Yuriko Nishinotouin, a member of the student council and president of the Culture Club, challenges Yumeko to the "Life or Death" game she just defeated Mary at. In this game, players bet on numbers on where swords in a cup will land, potentially winning or losing 30 times the amount they bet depending on how the swords land. After the first game ends in a draw, Yumeko goes all in, deducing that Yuriko has been cheating by having the dealer wear magnets on her hand to affect the movement of the swords. Just as Yuriko becomes panicked over the thought of potentially losing over 2 billion yen, some of the student council members, including student council president Kirari Momobami arrive to observe the game. It is then that it is revealed that Yuriko had won the game, which Yumeko suspects may have been the result of an elaborate cheating method the student council used specifically for their game. Ending up 310 million yen in debt as a result of her loss, Yumeko ends up being classed as a "Mike" too.

In leau of payment requests, both Yumeko and Mary receive "Life Schedules" from the student council, which dictate their entire lives including who they will marry if they do not clear their debts. Later, a boisterous male student named Jun Kiwatari attempts to force himself on Yumeko, but is turned away after beautician Midari Ikishima tries to rope him into a game of Russian roulette. Later, the student council announce a Debt Exchange Game, in which groups of four play a game two-card Indian poker to try and exchange their debts, with the winner losing their debt completely. Yumeko and Mary end up in the same group together along with Jun, who gives himself a slight debt so he can attempt to earn a profit, and another Mike named Nanami Tsubomi. As the game proceeds, Jun appears to deduce that Yumeko and Mary that working with each other, only to wind up landing into a bluff play by Mary.

Seconds before Midari fires Yumeko reveals she sabotaged her gun, then immediately admits she is lying and the gun is unloaded. When questioned about her reasons Midari reveals she blinded her left eye as payment for losing against the president and now only gambles when the risk is pain or death. In the second round Yumeko correctly matches every card. She chooses a revolver and fires, having chosen the revolver that weighed less due to being unloaded. For the third round both Yumeko and Midari choose to load 2 bullets. Yumeko reveals Midari has been cheating by mirroring the cameras (Ryota is right handed but was somehow dealing with his left). Midari had been intending to lose so she could experience ultimate pleasure. Yumeko finds playing with no risk boring and despises Midari for it. She reveals that neither she nor Midari matched a single card and the game is declared a draw. Midari, realizing she has been totally defeated, begs Yumeko to shoot her just once, but Yumeko refuses. Mary refuses to join the council and swears revenge on the president. Yumeko challenges Ryota to heads or tails and buys him sweets when she loses.
