Warning: Spoilers
Written and Directed by The Wynkoop Tales. Joel D. Wynkooop knows how to capture his audience. He doesn't try anything beyond his reach or experimental, he sticks to the formula we all know and love. Wynkoop Tales is made up four tales with a really fun wraparound. Joel plays Barry Altwater a goofy simpleton who wants to sells his stories to get some cash. He is promised by an up and coming publisher to maybe publish his stories in book form or a movie. Constance played by M. Catherine Wynkoop has a printing shop and is branching out to publishing and producing. Poor Barry comes to try to pitch his ideas. She gratuitously grants him time to tell her his stories. Barry introduces his stories desperate to be published and she listens with somewhat interest. Tainted Love is the first story and has Joel and Catherine Playing Newlyweds Happy and love and prepared to spend there lives together. He apologizes that there living in a cramped apartment, in a seedy part of town but promises good things soon. Well as every scene unfolds as shown three a day countdown things get worse and worse. Joel loses his job and there slowly despising each other and struggling to make ends meet. It quickly goes from a fairytale Union to a disgust and hate for each other. The finale desperation that is done to make ends meet is pretty shocking. Next comes Diary of Blood. Once again our king and queen of horror are at it again as lovers. But only one is doing the loving. Joel character this time is over worked and coming home tired all the time. His wife throws herself all the time that's starts questioning his feelings. Catherine is on display and looking really sexy in this and you wonder, what the hell is wrong with him. She feels he is cheating but can't find anything. What is revealed at the end is a touching performance from Joel and will blow you away, and never expected the outcome. Psycho R Us has a nice touch. Everyone is always saying our movies are Grindhouse like, so why not give them what they want. This one is shot just like a grind house flick and has the scratches and missing reel here. It's authentic and so genius. It works and is really sleazy this one. Has 2 guys and 2 girls getting it on with each other, swapping and some hot lesbian action. This one had a lasting effect because of the subject matter and style. Sought of snuff like. You will really be blown away at the conclusion and will not believe what just happened. I had to watch twice that segment. The final is Dead End my favorite and I feel the best acted and story. It was really made well and the performances really touched you. A father gets a call from his daughter that she is following a cult. She want to be a reporter and feels this will really give her the boost she feels. He is out fighting in the park with his son. They are all trained in the martial arts and can take care of themselves. This is Joel's love and is present here throughout the short. Well the daughter gets abducted and it's time for the son and dad to travel Over 900 miles to rescue her. The daughter played by M. Catherine Wynkoop really gets a chance to show her fighting skills and really is convincing. My buddy Bob Glazier plays a thug and also has the support of other roughies that Cathy takes care of. Well Joel and son are there to save Cathy but things don't always have a happy ending. Thank you Joel doing what I always try. Don't make movies color by numbers be original and do your way! These four stories really are like a study on what to do rite in Indy film making. Like is said when I opened this review. Joel knows his core audience and never disappoints. M. Catherine Wynkoop has grown so much as an actress and she gets to display her abilities here. Joel treat her good, she may be going to Hollywood soon. Camera work and sound is pretty good and everything is scene and heard clearly. Something I dread when watching low budget flicks. But this hits the mark in all areas. A really fun movie with a love able Goof ball in the lead and 4 really fun stories that move along and never get dull. Another great venture down Wynkoop Lane and look forward to even more. Joel D. Wynkoop shows no signs of slow down and provides what his audiences want. Sex, boobs, violence, fightings and a great Popcorn movie.

Directed by Joel D. Wynkoop, M. Catherine Wynkoop. With Ken Anthony II, Ashley Lynn Caputo, Bob Glazier, James Knowlton.
