Morgan
paulpcutts27 September 2018
I have always thought this show to be inferior to the main TWD but this season has changed that around a bit, The last season of TWD needed as kick up the but a bit and that's what it got in the second half, In this season of FTWD it has moved on a pace and become a great series in it's own right and it is Morgan that has made this happen. The original cast from the first season where mainly one dimensional apart of Nick and Strand and we now have the best characters left and some good additions and that makes the show stronger. The way this story is developing we may and should see the two shows combining for ONE last season. That would bring a most satisfying way to end the narrative if they can commit to an end game.

One more thing, why do these reviews on IMDB attract so many pointless inane comments, if you have nothing to add but your particular subjective hate for the show why do you watch it and why do do you have comment the same trash week in week out.

Morgan The Gladiator

Warning: Spoilers
Morgan is the best character on this show so far. That shows the level of this show not bad and not amazingly good. Morgan is a beast on a good way off course, i hope he will play a lot more seasons on Fear the Walking Dead.

Maybe the biggest problem outside the bad plotting and dialogue is that this cast of characters feels so forced. Why are they even together? Why are they a group?
fernandoschiavi21 April 2024
Alicia and Charlie head to the city to find a boat to rescue John and Strand but encounter Martha. After a brief standoff, Martha passes out from her wounds. They tied her up in the SWAT truck which they use to rescued the stranded duo.

At the hospital, Jim remains on the roof while the others locate Al. Instead, they find Al's note telling them she's going to try to escape, along with instructions on protecting her tapes if she dies. Morgan leaves to find her while the rest stay behind. From the roof, Morgan tosses a walker off the ledge an onto a car, attracting the walkers away from the hospital entrance. Though Morgan implores them to leave, the group rally to get Morgan off the roof using a firetruck. Martha escapes during the effort. As Walkers close in, Jim tells Sarah his beer recipe before jumping of the roof to distract the Walkers. Later that night, Martha takes Jim's now reanimated corpse.

This wasn't a terrible episode but it was, as so many this season have been, pretty bland. I had trouble paying attention partly because I have a hard time caring about these characters very much, or their predicaments. I don't care about Jim. I don't think Morgan is the "leader" still, and is only in that role because AMC wants him to be, not because it makes sense. Sarah and Wendell continue to be boring despite their quirks. I guess I just keep expecting them to die any time now, kind of like we knew Jim was a goner right away.

Fact is, we don't need any more new characters. We don't need a new psycho villain, either. Or a diesel truck. The zombies and the natural disaster stuff could have provided all the conflict we needed this half of the season without introducing even more new faces.

Am I just jaded? I want to care about this show but they're not making it easy. I'm having a hard time mustering the give-a-damn necessary to watch Fear for any other reason than to write these reviews. That's a shame. TV shouldn't feel like a chore - even when it's part of your job.

Maybe the biggest problem outside the bad plotting and dialogue is that this cast of characters feels so forced. Why are they even together? Why are they a group? At least with the Clark family we had an interesting dynamic between all the characters. The way the Clarks and the Salazars and Strand all came together made sense. They weren't all best buddies right away either, and in Season 3 they weren't even all on the same side the whole time. Now what are we left with? A bloated cast that barely resembles the core group.

The Walking Dead also has a bloated cast and many of the original characters are dead, but most of the characters in that show have been around for at least a few seasons. In Fear we have three characters that have been here since Season 1 and 2, and of those three only Alicia really matters. Sorry, but Strand hasn't been interesting since Madison left and Luciana stopped being cool the moment she got with Nick.

The rest of the Season 4 cast is either new or Morgan. Why not just make a brand new show instead of dismantling this one? Too much change in too short a period of time - and not enough of it good. I have very little faith that the season finale will turn things around. Then again, at the end of Season 2 I said they should probably just cancel it and move on, and then we got a really surprisingly good third season. So who knows?

Finally a good episode. It is good that all of them back together .

The only thing that really annoying is improper forgiveness . I really don't know why they try to help a psycho killer! And they easily forgive thise who wanted to kill them!

Storyline: On the roof, June assures Morgan that they'll find a way off somehow.

Back on the island, Strand and John notice Alicia and Charlie waving at them from across the pond. Alicia hears June on her walkie and tells her the good news. Morgan warns Alicia to watch what she says because Martha might be listening. He also informs them of their roof situation. Alicia and Charlie head out to locate a boat to rescue John and Strand.

Jim stands on the edge of the roof to urinate on the walkers below. Morgan asks him to help them rescue Al but he declines. Sarah then asks Jim for his beer recipe, saying that he might die but his beer can live on. He tells her to leave him alone and she reluctantly does.

Elsewhere, Alicia and Charlie discover a kayak tied to the roof of a car when suddenly they come under fire from Martha. She tells them she's been listening to them and that she can make them stronger. After yelling that she doesn't need any help, Martha collapses.

Morgan and the group, except for Jim, venture back into the hospital to locate Al. Instead, they find Al's note telling them she's going to try to escape, along with instructions on protecting her tapes if she dies. Morgan leaves to find her while the rest stay behind.

Back on the island, John and Strand hear a vehicle nearby and discover it's the SWAT truck. Alicia plows it through the lake to rescue them as the two men take a swig from their bottle in celebration. Charlie returns John's hat and he commends her for talking again. Strand notices Martha zip-tied in the back and asks who she is.

In the hospital, Morgan tells the rest that he'll find a way to distract the walkers below to let the rest escape. He returns to the roof and tells Jim they have work to do.

In the SWAT truck, John radios Morgan to give him the all-clear on speaking freely on the walkies and June responds immediately. They're both elated to talk to one another. June gives him her location and he says they're on their way. Martha wakes up distressed at being tied up and Alicia suggests she has Morgan to thank. "He'll be thanking me", she says ominously.

From the roof, Morgan tosses a walker off the ledge an onto a car, attracting the walkers away from the hospital entrance. "Momo's a goddamn genius", Sarah beams as she and the rest escape into the ambulance. June radios Morgan to follow them but he tells her to go without him and stays on the roof with Jim.

After a while, June radios Morgan again, this time she's with John and the others in the SWAT truck. Alicia and the others chime in on the radio, telling him they're going to save him. Morgan looks down and sees their plan: a fire truck. Martha warns Luciana she should leave because this won't end well, but she ignores her.

Sarah operates the fire truck's crane but is short by a couple of stories. Morgan finds a rope, wraps it around a pipe, and lowers it down. He tells Jim to come with him but he says there's no point since he's going to die from the bite. Morgan tosses his stick down and gingerly begins climbing down the building. He makes it and is immediately attacked by a walker. John skillfully shoots the walker from below and Morgan successfully jumps onto the firetruck's crane. As he's lowered down he nods one last time to Jim. Alicia, June, and Luciana draw a herd of walkers and barely make it back to the fire truck alive, only to find Martha missing.

As the group gets surrounded by walkers, Jim decides to sacrifice himself to save them. Before he does, he radios Sarah the recipe for his beer. She writes it down, Jim takes a deep breath, and throws himself off the ledge and onto a car, attracting the walkers away from the fire truck.

On the road, Sarah decides they should name the beer "Jimbo's Beerbos" in his memory. Morgan proposes they find Al and then travel to Alexandria together.

At night, Martha marks Jim's corpse with the recipe he gave Sarah earlier. He reanimates and Martha tells him, "You're strong now, let's go make him strong too."

S4.E15 - One of The Best Episodes of The Season [8/10]
panagiotis19933 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
(S4. E15) My Reaction / Review for Fear The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 15 ''I Lose People...'': Episode 14 was good and I gave it a rating of 7.5/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Alicia found Victor and John, that's awesome. I really like the chemistry between John and Victor, they are very different from each other but they are good friends, a good duo. The villain is kinda a dumb idea, an old angry woman. Alicia got Al's van to cross the river, that's pretty cool. So now Alicia is with John and Victor, that's awesome. Morgan wants to stay behind to distract the walkers? That's not a good idea. Morgan stayed back at the hospital, I wonder how he will survive now, the building is full of walkers. It's nice that the rest of the team wants to help Morgan. Jim did one thing right, well done. I wonder where is Al. The rest of the team is together which is awesome. Overall a really good episode, my rating is 8/10.

Nursery Rhymes for Adult Brains
Rob-O-Cop25 September 2018
As others have mentioned this episode actually caused brain pain to contemplate what was being fed to us as a storyline. They might as well talk in caveman delivery for all the subtlety and depth we're given. Chubby Hobo Whoopie Goldberg continued to be astonishingly unconvincing. Where do they get these actors from? The local village drama society? In what parallel universe does this chubby middle aged mum pass as a skilled zombie wrangler (when no one else has these skills) and quick witted badas$ who continually kicked the seasoned real fighting machine pros. There's just nothing in the show to convince us this would ever happen, let along has happened with this elderly mum character, and continues to happen again and again. Couldn't they at the least find a real life wiry meth head to give the role some conviction. Alica's "I did what you told me Morgan, I'm helping people, just like you told me Morgan, cos you said the words and I'm doing it"................ Wow. Stunning writing. only met or surpassed by Morgans "I gotta get you outta here cos I got you in here, and it's my job to sacrifice my life cos I said let's go that way which was better than racing a heard of zombies down a straight road, but it's my duty, I owe you"............wow again. Pure Children's Nursery Rhyme level story telling right there. I feel sorry for the actors, but then are they just in auto mode now and don't even pre read the script, just say the lines and get the pay cheque. Again John Dorie manages to shine and be likable as the last actor left on the payroll who still has some self worth and pride. Strand, was there, no one else matters and Al went AWOL. Stunning in a bad way. why am I watching this? I really don't know, help me stop. As for the 10/10 best episode yet people, I hope you're getting paid well you shills, fingers crossed it doesn't get renewed. The new 'under the dome'. sink this sinking ship.

Fear Watching This Tripe.
SteveResin24 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This show is about as credible as Scooby-Doo in the scary or horror stakes. How low do you have to set the bar to think this is good? There's been some really poor episodes this season but this one takes the cake. Martha is the worst villain I've ever seen in a show. Her laughably bad backstory aside, why is she so hefty in this universe? These people are barely getting by, finding tin cans and small chocolate bars to keep them alive. This woman looks like she's dining on steak every night. We're supposed to be a few years in to the apocalypse now, it's just ridiculous.

The characters all get separated in the mother of all storms, and are separated by hundreds of miles in a huge state, yet find each other by accident because the plot requires it. The characters are so thin it would be hard to explain them in more than a few words. All we know about the dude who sacrifices himself here is that he made beer. Nothing else. He's been in the show for half a season and that's all they can come up with. Why should anyone care that he's dead? He was barely a person in the first place. And the less said about magical fire engines appearing with dead engines but working ladders that can conveniently rescue our heroes from rooftops the better. This is writing so basic it hurts your brain because you have to dumb yourself down to watch it.

This show was never stellar TV but it was entertaining in its own way. Now much like a zombie bite it's just painful.

Fear the Walking Amateur Writers! Morges the Savior Strikes Back. Comedy Hour. The Contrivance is blaring. The Soap Opera Continues.
Bababooe24 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, here we go. Last week our savior Morges (aka Morgan the new Moses) leads his people to the promised land of, wait for it, a roof of a derelict hospital surrounded by "Walkers". He gets poor Jimbo bit. Poor Jimbo, we hardly knew him. Haircut Swatwoman Videographer Al is stuck in the generator room, also surrounded by walkers. What a dilemma. Oh, my! Alyc and her adopted new little sister and killer of her brother and the pestilence that brought down her family, friends and home, Backstab Charlie, discover Dumb and Dumber, John the Cowboy and Victor the Drunk, on alligator island. Wacko Woman got shot in the heart without a bullet proof vest, but somehow managed to walk and drive away like it's just a paper cut. She's so tough her skin is thicker than the alligator threatening Dumb and Dumber.

At this point, the only reason to watch is to make fun of it, the unintended comedy. Hey, it has some entertainment value. It's just sad that rather than watching realistic people and situations thrown into a plague of dead people looking to kill and eat you, that we are left with this sad example of television.

Here we go. On the hospital rooftop, we have Morges, June, Lucy, Wheelchair, Truckes, and Dead-man-walking Jimbo. June again asks Morges to get them out of there. As I mentioned last week, all of these people except for maybe Jimbo have survived in the zombie apocalypse for at least 5 years and now they all turn to Morges, like he's their savior. Morges is depressed, and doesn't know what to do. June on the walky speaks to Alyc, now Morges has hope. Just like that. Morgy was all depressed, and now inspired, he gets the bright idea to leave the roof, because Alyc was contacted.

We see Wacko performing surgery on herself, a napkin. Let's just remember this woman got shot with a shotgun, which looks like a bulls eye on her heart, from our new friend Wheelchair. How is it possible this woman is not dead, let alone walking around, talking, breathing, etc? Filthy Woopy is tough, we get it.

Last week Backstab found Cowboy John's hat. She is now the new CORAL. Alyc and Backstab are looking for a boat to rescue Cowboy and Vic the Drunk. Cowboy is depressed and lovesick for June. We have to watch this 40 something idiot (calm down fans of John Dorie) moping around for love. Please consider your predicament. You're trapped on an island with a drunk, no way out, and a hungry alligator. Maybe think about survival first. Priorities! We are supposed to feel sorry for this dude? Why? Reversal of roles, Vic the drunk is now all hopeful and refers to Alyc possible forgiveness of Backstab. Cowboy is concerned about his wound, the one created by Alyc, is getting infected. Vic sacrifices and splashes some alcohol on Cowboys wound. These are some serious deep soap opera drama acting and dialogue nonsense. If it wasn't funny, I'd have to shut it off.

On the hospital roof, Jimbo climbs to the edge of the roof. Morges feels bad for Jimbo, and is concerned that he'll jump. Jimbo pisses on walkers and blames Morges for getting bit. They're all ready to leave the roof but Jimbo is going nowhere. Truckes asks for Jimbo's beer recipe, Jimbo tells her to go F herself.

Alyc and Backstab while looking for a boat, Wacko shoots at them before collapsing from the shotgun to the heart. Alyc and Backstab drive the SWAT van to alligator island to rescue Dumb and Dumber. So we are led to believe that Alyc and Backstab, stumbled onto Dumb and Dumber, and Wacko with a hole in her heart finds Alyc and Backstab and gets a couple of shots at them before collapsing. Realistically Wacko should be dead from Wheelchairs shotgun, and the Trucker Team would be in the Swat van with the non-bit Jimbo. Anyway.

At the hospital, the Morges team make it to Al's floor, and wouldn't you know it, a roof has conveniently collapsed blocking out the zombies. They make it to the generator room, but Al took off and left a note. Generators running low, Morges tells them to go downstairs and he'll go back to the roof to distract the walkers. Was Al's contract canceled? Where did she go? Is this another set up? What's going on? I'm so confused. Maybe she went to fix her hair.

Cowboy and June talk sweet nothings on the walkie. Cowboy fails to mention they have Wacko tied up.

June, Lucy, Wheelchair and Truckes are on the grounds of the hospital, but there are walkers behind a fence. Morges drops a walker on a car from the roof causing the car alarm to go off attracting the walkers from the fence. Apparently car and walkie talky batteries don't die. Trucker Team finds an ambulance. June like a dumbass waits for last minute talking with Morges before leaving. That was tense. Really thought she was a goner. No.

Love fest. Now we have a collage of the Z Team calling to save the savior Morges. They will rescue Morges from the roof. They somehow found a firetruck that's out of gas, but the hydraulic ladder is working. The ladder is too short. Morges finds some rope, put there by the production team, and climbs down to a lower level. A walker attacks Morges, but no problem, sharpshooter Cowboy takes care of the walker. So tense. Morges makes it to the top of the firetruck. Now Morges, June, Lucy, Cowboy, Drunk Vic and Truckes are trapped on top of the firetruck, surrounded by walkers. Wheelchair and Backstab are in the swat van with Wacko tied in the back, also surrounded by walkers. Jimbo, knowing that the end is near, now tells Truckes his beer recipe, and tells them he will throw himself on another car to set off the alarm to distract the walkers surrounding the firetruck. He does. Now, these "Walkers" may be on the same mentality as the "Writers" because rather than going after fresh meat on top of the firetruck and in the swat van, drop everything and go after the car alarm our beloved Beer Maker Jimbo has sacrificed to create.

Everybody is now in Al's Swat van, except for Al who's getting her hair done, and Wacko is gone. She apparently chewed off her arm to get away. Backstab is so concerned comes up with some garbage dialogue "She's hurt, we have to look for her" - Shut the hell up you Backstabbing Unapologetic moron of a character! A bit out of character coming from the person who shot Nick in cold blood. Yes, we're lead to believe there was a transformation. Morges' dialogue is a little better "We should get out of here". That's the best the writers could come up with. Truckes "What should we call Jimbo's beer?" "Yeah, ok we'll call it Jimbo's Beer" That's it. Morges says something about going to TWD. Amateur writing at its best. Not only do these idiots come up with idiot plots, the dialogue takes the cake.

Wacko finds dead Jimbo on top of the car. Jimbo Zombifies.

Ok, so what happened. Wacko is bullet proof, and Jimbo is her new walker buddy. The Z Team is back together, except for Al, who's having her hair done. Now what? More Wacko encounter, Al comes back, a day trip to TWD? Who knows. This episode unfortunate was not as funny. I don't enjoy the soap opera nonsense (example Cowboy and June lovefest, or Morges I can't/I can). Best part was Jimbo's dialogue of blaming Morges. That's it. All the rest of scenes of a magic fence blocking walkers, magic roof cave in blocking walkers, a magic fire truck ladder, a rope put there by the production team for Morges to climb, Jimbo's sacrifice, although noble, was another contrivance for distracting walkers from fresh meat to chase after a car alarm. Everyone has working walkies. Batteries don't die. Cars are readily available, with fresh batteries and gas.

As mentioned earlier, the only reason to watch is for the comedy, and for study of how stupid and low we have come in story-telling. I watched the episode. I read all the reviews. I make a judgement on plausibility. I'm not a professional writer or critic. But what I do require is realistic situations and consistent characters, within the context of the "Zombie Apocalypse". I ask, what would I do in that situation.

One more thing, the sound effect for the walker growling is stupid.

Bad Actors bad acting
mjhuijbregts30 September 2018
There's too many bad actors on this show. The writing is still really bad. It just doesn't make a great show. And whats's up with the color filtering? We've had that all season. Like the show wasn'tboring enough already. Morgan, Alicia and maybe strand are the only characters worth watching for. I really do hope ther'e going to end up at Alexandria. Exept for Morgan and maybe Alicia.

Fear the walking dead, a bad comedy

One of the worst season finales of all time. Actually comedic to a point. Save your time and do not bother with this show. The director/producers should be ashamed of this mess.

Warning: Spoilers
This is bad writing. I tried writing a review but it would be way too long. Stop piggy backing on a show that has already been out played and poorly written. I'm not say don't produce more zombie shows but this is bad. Yet I keep watching. Am I the reason for this. Yup. Get good writers and make a great show. Thanks
