I heard it took them 3 months when they worked on the animation when levi was fighting against the mps. Really amazing writing and very fluid animation, I shudve rated this episode sooner, seeing it go from 9.3 to 9.4 really means a lot about this episode. If you havent seen aot, watch it becuz you are missing out big time lol

The episode was outstanding. One of my all-time favorites of this show. I loved the tension it brought and the multiple cliffhangers in it. What an episode!

The Levi character is easily everyone's favorite.

Exceptional

This episode was amazing. One of the criticisms were about the pacing, but i think the show has done a fantastic job thus far with their fast pace The Uprising arc isn't a favorite of many, so the writers decided a quicker approach would make it better. The Levi vs Kenny squad scene is one of the most well animated sequences I've ever seen. It was just masterfully done. The animation, music, dialogue, mind games, etc. The Jean "death" scene was adapted so well, especially with the POV of blood splatter. I also loved the dark comedy of the torture scene. Two big reveals at the end of the episode that gets you excited for what's next. The ED was excellent. Linked Horizon makes every song so much better. Not a single band have topped their quality.

Solid two parter.

A brilliant action sequence leads into more intrigue with the church people and Kenny whom seems to be more important than we previously thought. Love how Levi has been getting showcased so much after not being in the second season a lot. His mind has definitely been explored here more than anywhere in the second season. Can't wait to see how the season goes.

This episode has the best animation I've ever seen which makes the fight between Levi and Kennys squad all the better the show is still exciting despite there being no titans around the second half of the episode is intriguing as it discussses killing other people aswell as the more important matter of where are Eren and Historia and who took them the next few episodes will probably involve heavy expisition 9/10.

Levi and Hanji - Most Fierce yet wholesomec ombo Everrrr !!
saadi-4242215 June 2021
I swear, the chemistry between the scout regiment is what a group of militans can hope; its freakin amazing. Especially the bond between Hange and Levi is beautiful af, probably the best in a TV series, after Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. Honestly loving the way this series is going, exposing all the plots and schemes. The series has been shocking us for quite some time with epic cliffhangers. Cant wait for more.

How can I describe this wonderful episode, full of excitement and suspense, great action events and a very professionally written sequence of events .

You feel that the events turned West World American a little and the introduction of the new characters was very good.

A wonderful episode in all respects and I am very excited for the upcoming episodes. I hope that things will continue to be clarified well so that the puzzles do not become too complicated and become a little complicated or without an answer. But everything is perfect so far.

Can you believe it ...?!!

Warning: Spoilers
If you're amazed by the action in this episode .. then you're totally right . the only thing that you can say about it just " the Action " . As a fan of this epic title ( Anime and Manga ) there are too many things happened and have been cut . I wont say all of them just few that took my awareness and can't process them : 1- How did the merchant switch sides too easily without a ( solid ground ,a guarantee and Profits )for the betrayal ..? is just the Levi's word is enough for him to switch sides in the Anime ..?! in the other Hands , in manga the ( Talk and persuasion ) from Levi to the merchant was an Epic form to read and to Convince the reader as well. 2- mikasa : still a naive girl all she is interested in is only " Eren " ..No evolve for the others or even for her Character In the other and in the Manga .. you can see , how she is concerned about both " Historia and Eren " , how she hesitated when she have been ordered to take human lives and The evolution of her away from Eren .

I think there are many other things to be compared between the Show and the Manga that we can talk talk for Hours and Hours to come ,. Eventually in my own Opinion : "i'm very disappointed to see all these lacks and more , hoping for the episodes to come to be more and more Acceptable to keep the track and fill all the Lacks " Sorry if i made to take long to speak my mind

More Than Meets the Eye
liammc-7327426 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I honestly don't understand how people can't see how much this episode has to offer aside from flashy animation! Obviously we have one of the greatest animated sequences in anime with Levi flying through Trost pursued by Kenny and his subordinates. We get the formal introduction of Kenny and his wildly entertaining and compelling dynamic with Levi. We also see much more foreshadowing through the interrogation of Sannes regarding the government plot, the true royal family, Erwin's backstory, and what world lies beyond the walls.

The crux of this episode is how moral ambiguity truly comes to the forefront of the show's thematic material. We see Levi squad grapple with the moral implications of killing other humans. Armin really shines here, as he continues to develop into a strong yet perpetually sympathetic character. It's very apparent that he feels trapped by the whole situation, forced to blatantly contradict his established code of ethics in order to protect those closest to him for the benefit of humanity. We get a sense of how tormented he is by this when he sends a jab Mikasa's way, shocked by how easily she could go along with this violence. He immediately apologizes of course, but that little moment makes him feel so much more vulnerable and endearing as a character. His ability to empathize with anyone is one of his most attractive qualities, and has yielded several important displays of capable leadership and crunch-time decision-making. This becomes EXTREMELY important in the next arc!

Levi is also returning to the limelight for some necessary characterization. We get his S1 dialogue callback "I never said anything about who was right or wrong. I don't even know myself," and it's even more impactful now that he's learned that titans were all originally human. Through growing up surrounded by death and decay in the capital's underground with Kenny, and becoming a harbinger of titan destruction as a member of the scouts, Levi has become all too familiar with the implications of taking life. This is why he can so effectively help his new squad navigate the ethical questions that now face them. His and Armin's development here hints at a fascinating dynamic germinating between the two that bears its fruit in the next arc.

Bearing witness to all of these heartfelt discussions, and having his company's fate at the hands of Reiss and Kenny dawn on him, Dimo Reeves sides with Levi and the Scouts. We also grow to see his character in a different light, as his confrontation with Mikasa in S1 obviously led him to adopt more ethical business practices that helped support the people of Trost District. I personally could see and assume that plenty of shifts in character had happened to Reeves to support this decision.

This is definitely a standout episode in this arc, introducing compelling character dynamics and throwing all sorts of things into question. Great character writing, mind-boggling animation quality, and a constantly evolving plot make this an easy addition to the show's rapidly growing collection of 10/10 entries!

In this episode, you see some of the greatest action you will ever see in anime. This was such an amazing episode of all of television. My favorite things about this episode were the action, the storyline, and the Antagonists. My favorite characters in this episode were Levi, Eren, and Kenny, I think his name is. I decided to keep watching just because Attack On Titan ended last night from where I am. I wish I could've watched with everyone when it premiered, but oh well, it is what it is. This episode also has to grest backstory into it, and the episode literally tricked us with a part. Such a good episode.
