A finale like this gives me hope ...
Aktham_Tashtush9 May 2019
A hope for another season to give a real closure to all characters ,, a hope for another one hell of that devilishly fun experience like the one we lived throughout these 10 episodes ,, And i would not expect anything less from Netflix.

The season that we have been waiting for so long have come back stronger on the monster network .. And as Lucifer is the king of hell , Netflix have now ruled all over tv.

The plot was tight an connected ,, dealt perfectly with the new subplot of Chloe knowing about Lucifer true self .. and along the line kept on the fun at peak with solving individual murders in each episode ... loved how the psychology of the characters have grown .. and how the subtle comedy add so much to lightening up the scenes and every once and while being a break of the quickly/excitingly escalating thrilling events.

Last but not least ,, Netflix have known for awhile now that they have made a clever choice listening to the fans and picking up this show and i don't think they will give up easily on it.

Hopefully fox cancelled the show, and netflix got it. This is the best season! Hope to see more episodes. This season was funny, sad, dramatical.

So much better under netflix
akanam-639759 May 2019
I initially abandoned this show mid season 3 as the show in my opinion had its moments from time to time but got too repetitive. That is definitely not the case for season 4. This season has a strong story behind it instead the same old buddy cop adventures that we had in the previous seasons. Netflix did a great job making this only 10 episodes long and to the people who might have abandoned the show from previous seasons, you will still be able to enjoy season 4 as I did as you get a recap in the first episode and they don't dwell too much on things that happened in previous seasons. This final episode is a great conclusion for this season and an exciting setup for the next season. Can't wait for season 5. Thank you Netflix!!!

Thank you Netflix!!
I so love this season!! Best season ever! When I found out Netflix bought the show! I decided for the first time to get netflix! Only for this show! Been dying to watch season 4 and it was sooooo worth the wait. The fight choreography has gotten better. The visual stunts have gotten better. The cgi has gotten better. Thank you so much Netflix, thank you actors, thank you to all us fans for fighting for this show and thank you for team lucifier for producing an amazing show.

This one seems more like an arc-midpoint than a finale, which is why we need a Season 5
cartesiantheater10 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Worst case scenario, I can see how the series can end here. At least you can wonder about what could be without having a MASSIVE cliffhanger like last time. But there is a lot more that could be told here. Things could eventually get extremely apocalyptic, and I hope they do at some point in season 6 or 7.

In fact, 7 seasons feels about what this series should be. Give us a Season 5 to get Lucifer back to Earth, resume his hobby of helping the LAPD, and dig a little deeper into the rumblings of rebellion in Hell. Give us Season 6 to amp up the stakes, and give us Season 7 for an actual apocalypse, finally dealing with Lucifer's relationship with God, and a final plot resolution.

That feels like what this story needs to be fully given justice. Of course, knowing the cruelty of Netflix, I wouldn't be surprised if the show is cut at 4 seasons, but I really nope not. This really feels like we're just passed the midpoint of the overall story, and we need at least two more seasons (preferably three) to really flesh out a complete arc.

In any event, Lucifer sitting on his throne in Hell was a cool visual, and it's great for the story. He's back exactly where God (allegedly) wanted him, and eventually that's going to dawn on him and he'll leave again. And of course, that will trigger more consequences. More needs to be explored in this world, but we still need at least one season of everyone trying to pretend things haven't permanently changed.

Here's hoping for about three more seasons.

The best season yet
thefreedomofstyle10 May 2019
This season was amazing. Thank you Netflix for taking this show to new heights and depths. The cast outdid their performances on previous seasons. It was so great for the show to focus more on the psychology and inner lives of the characters, while bringing more of the theological aspects/tensions to the forefront of the story as well. Loved the funny moments, the saucy moments - loved that each character was struggling with something central to their being throughout the season. Bravo Netflix! Can't wait to see where the show goes in season 5 - I feel like they have opened new doors and the sky really is the limit from here (literally) ❤

Fox cancelling lucifer was the best thing 4 the show, although it didn't feel like that at the time. Best season ever, loved that I could binge watch all episodes in 1 go, Netflix did good. So looking forward 2 next season especially how season 4 ended, lucifer well and truly saved👍

Lucifer on right track...
furiousmind_1510 May 2019
Well this season was way better than the previous ones in terms of story progress and character development. The finale was just AMAZING... Loved the concept. It should be continued and that with full season strength (22-23 episodes). The Netflix has done a really great job here. Thumbs Up.

The Best Season of The Best Show / #Season5
trolsbg9 May 2019
In my opinion that was for sure the best season of Lucifer. It was so emotional and so amazing. I'm glad that Netflix picked up Lucifer and I would be so happy if we are able to see at least one more season of Lucifer. I'm sure there is more story that we should see. #Season5

This was epic, the best of the best really. I love this show and everything about it. The ending scene was just too perfect, i was waiting for ages to see Chloe share her feelings like that.

Expected better (possible spoilers)
alelizio4 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Season 3 was too long, season 4 too short. Felt like some things happened too fast. What was that with Maze, falling in love with Eve almost out of the blue? She was more involved with Ben Rivers a lot more but she didn't seem to feel so distressed after breaking up. Also, Chloe's discovery of Lucifer's true nature was so... bland, to say the least. Dan's and Ella's reaction to Charlotte's death was a bit too farfetched (IMO), almost dangling dangerously out of character. Overall, it seemed that the season wasn't long enough to cover all it needed to be covered. Hope Season 5 gets better, with a satisfying closure (totally not like Smallville's ending; Tom Welling's curse? Lol...) A good villain (a good antagonist would serve better), Lucifer struggling between fighting off a rebellion in Hell and helping Chloe and LAPD, and perhaps an understanding with God, with both coming to a commitment. And above all, a full season, please!

Oops, who directed that admission of love?!
amoore-424 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
People... are you so entranced by the series as a whole that you can't see poor directing/acting when it happens? Throughout the series Chloe's acting was passable because the writing is rarely challenging. We never saw her where acting chops are needed... until this episode. And oh was it painful to watch her try to admit her love for Lucifer. He wasn't much better at reciprocating but she was not at all believable. I laughed out loud. My disbelief was not suspended, and I think many of you must have noticed it, too.

The series is novel and witty and the writing overall is pretty good. So I rate it 8, but this very difficult transition from friends to love interest was a fall from its normal standards.

Netflix Saved Lucifer!!
clairegomersall9 May 2019
Lucifer started to die - mainly I think, because Fox tried to stretch the season out too long, and the story lunes started to become the same old crap heap we've seen a thousand times.

I am so glad Netflix took on Lucifer, because Fox started to lose all that was good from it. They lost sight of what Lucifer was about, the quirkiness, the sadness, and the devilishness. Although season 3 finished on an amazing high, I was praying Netflix would match and deliver - and they did!! And surpassed what I expected to get.

Thank you.

Best episode ever!

Warning: Spoilers
Been a fan of Lucifer since the beginning and was super eccited when I heard season 4 was coming to Netflix (even marked it on my planner!). It did not disappoint! All the episodes were amazing but this completely blew the others out of the water. Awesome dance opening, killer fight scenes and the storyline itself was amazing. The ending could be interpreted as ambiguous - praying for a season 5!

Love the supernatural aspect finally
meh_moi10 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Finally we get what we have been waiting for. Lucifer and Chloe's finally admitting their feelings and the supernatural aspect everyone has been craving for. I loved it, all the characters had so much development this season I think and much less filler. Im so curious as to what happens next!

Also I just wanted to point out 2 inaccuracies about the demons. Lucifer said they dont feel pain cause their bodies are dead but Eve punches Kinley in the balls and it somehow affects him. Second was the demons bleeding when theyre hit, if theyre dead bodies, they wouldnt bleed, not red atleast, it would be thick black goo. But other than that I thought it was basicly perfect.

Dont get me wrong, I loved it with all my heart! <3

Lucifer is as Lucifer does
kizureace15 May 2019
I was let down when Fox cancelled the show, but my heart got lighten a bit when Netflix took over the show.. By a bit, I mean I was afraid that Netflix couldn't keep the once spirit of the show, fortunately I was wrong. The season 4 scores greatly in my heart, the plot is tight, the story is flowing smoothly. The show knows when to mix personal stories with solving murder cases, these two together massively enrich the character developments as well as showing ties from one episode with another. Personally saying, I enjoy the subtle appearances and reminds of characters from the Bible. Well done Netflix, keep it up.

This season finale has it all!
Anna_00913 May 2019
Wow, season 4 was amazing - Netflix did right by Lucifer.

Season 3 lost its stride in many ways: it seemed like Lucifer had character-regression after his gradual development in the previous seasons. I'm glad that in season 4 there was a solid character development that showed real, mature growth from Lucifer, and the season finale just clinched it.

The season finale was amazing and better than the other finales of the show since it managed to take the viewer through an entire range of emotions posible: It made you smile more, laugh more, worry more, and cry more. Oh, those last 5 minutes of the episode made me cry: Lauren and Tom did amazing job there, plus the music there just added so many layers to the scene (as usual with this show, the music is spot-on).

P.s. That dance number at the beginning felt like the most organic dance number any show has ever introduced, you just have to smile when the entire precinct breaks into dance, it just felt so natural :)

This is the best season ever. It is obviously a an implausible storyline, but the characters are so well developed that one can't help but care for them.

Not all bad
Kingslaay19 October 2019
I was excited that Lucifer returned. I have a been a fan and hooked from episode 1. This was a good season but I feel Lucifer's best episodes were its initial seasons where the focus was on Lucifer and not so other secondary characters. This was a pretty good season and had its moments. Interesting end to the season as we could easily see the show wrapping up here but maybe they have another season in it.

Netflix turns greatness into mediocrity.
LeeC220213 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I wish they had simply cancelled this show and left it alone instead of letting Netflix loose on it.

Netflix are a lowest-common denominator service and what they did with Lucifer proves it. Mixed-race relationship/pregnancy with "minority" child... Check. Political agenda highlighting white police treating blacks in a racist manner... Check. Lesbian relationship, because every show must have one... Check.

Only Netflix could cram more "agenda" into 10 episodes, than was seen in the 55 episodes before it. This finale... well it's hard to imagine how the writing could have been any worse. I mean, compare the finale of season 3 with this and there is a world of difference. Season 3 finale was truly epic, this was just... well, it was embarassing. "Chloe: Lucifer... I love you. Lucifer: Okay, I've got to go... Good Bye"... seriously?

Netflix is like the TV equivalent of Facebook, look at the reviews that start with "OMG". I only joined Netflix for this programme but I won't watch a 5th season of it. It really is sad if this level of quality is the future of TV, especially paid TV.
