Every episode sets a higher bar. Yes there are frogs, demons, nuns and reapers but it all makes perfect sense. The family bond and drama is eloquently played out and what you thought you knew, may not be so. Loved this episode.

Triumph and heartbreak

A masterful end to the first half of the season. Effortlessly filling you with both extreme happiness and sorrow. A milestone episode that absolutely rewards long time fans and sets the groundwork for more smiles and tears on the way in the 2nd half of the season.

Wynonna!?

Wow, a lot going on this episode story wise. Loose ends are wrapped up, which leaves me wondering what direction the show will take for the second half. Some interesting moral issues are raised between the characters, creating rifts, and demanding sides to be chosen. Some funny moments.
Betrayal

The episode has really good moments, and the love of Nicole and Weaverly is great, but the thing Wynonna does near the end is completely out of character. I think the writers disrespect the character and the public by having Wynonna do something like that for (I suspect) shock value. They probably want controversy and surprise, but after the conversation Wynonna and Doc had after listening to Wyatt in the film, there is no way Wynonna do something that she knows Doc will completely despise.
