Good story while not believable
ajd11218 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The story is definitely one for the ID channel. However, something so gruesome and easily made public through this television show, it's hard to believe another crime show oh, because this is what the story is mostly about, not a haunting, hasn't picked this up yet. As one can tell from the description, these girls grew up in a house with a father who was a serial killer. Ultimately, it is obvious that both girls got out of the house, but still said nothing to anyone. The grandson also did not live in the house as an adult, and said nothing to anyone. They say fear kept them quiet, but it's difficult to believe that once they got away from the man, guilt alone for the many people that he killed would not have encourage them to go to authorities. At the end of the show, the grandson even indicates that after moving back into the house upon his grandfather's death, he found hundreds of trophies that the grandfather had kept from his victims. There's no way at this point I would not have called authorities, or taking pictures of everything that I have found. Obviously, these people had family members somewhere, and if the man killed as many as are indicated, at least some of them had people looking for them. This would have made a very horrific movie, but as a true story I don't believe one bit of it. And looking up information, no authorities have been contacted by Netflix to confirm or have the evidence checked out. The people in the show had no last names. And apparently the authorities in the area did not deem it investigation Worthy. I had even seen someone post that they live in Upstate New York where the supposedly takes place and if something like this had happened there would be rumors and there are absolutely none. I don't mind a good story. But it is pretty shameful to pass off something this ridiculous as truth. I would be chomping at the bit if I was Netflix to have uncovered something like this and to have been able to put the victim's to proper rest, and be a part of finding family members that had been looking for these folks. Netflix would look like a hero. Instead, they are apparently saying nothing but trust us, it's true. To not do any further investigating or contacting authorities is completely irresponsible on Netflix part and the families part if this actually had happened.

This episode stopped me from watching any more

Warning: Spoilers
I was foolish enough to believe this was a reality style show with real people (not actors) recounting past tales of hauntings. But that's absolutely not the case. This family had parents who were serial killers and the police were never involved? Puh-lease. I thought maybe at the end the narrator would describe the police investigation, the discovery of bodies, or something involving law enforcement. But they didn't because the whole thing is made up.

I'm fine with fictional horror stories, but this BS is not acceptable. Tell us a scary story. But don't give us a reality show with fake stories disguised as real.

Warning: Spoilers
Sorry for this family but, especially after the evil father/grandad/husband died. Don't you think you would not throw away the "trophies" but, call someone. Admitting that you also know where potential bodies of "strays " are buried ?? I mean come on they all say he was a serial killer and the way this show was portrayed it seems that nothing has been done. This is just hard to swallow. And after they flat out say that the wife murdered him with a pillow and after just nothing happens. She moves in with her daughter?

ANOTHER "REALITY" SHOW PRETENDING TO BE REAL
jlsronce21 October 2018
I feel like the creators of this show are attempting to dupe their viewers into believeing these events actually happened. Their only claim is that the show is "not scripted" meaning they allow actors to improve scary stories and then re enact them. The flaw in that method is that there are gaping reality holes in the stories. For example; in this particular episode if the events really happened the FBI would be crawling all over that property once that story got out. It would be international news and the antagonist of the story would become infamous. Also in the course of the story one of the cast member admits to disposing of what he consciously lables as "trophies." Congratulations you are now accessory after the fact to murder. From now on you will be telling that story behind bars and not while sitting in a swanky leather chair. The truth is this is just another "reality" show pretending to be real.

Absolute Farce

Warning: Spoilers
This revolves around a father that murdered a ton of vagrants and buried them on the property but yet the police have never been involved and the bodies have not been dug up. If this is the case how can they put it on a TV show as surely it is breaking some law and it needs to be investigated.

It's been 24 hours and I'm still not over it...

Seriously, can't get over that I sat through that episode.

Are we supposed to believe that that was a true story?

As if the unreported serial killer aspect wasn't bad enough to show goes on to add the Native American burial ground aspect... oh and not to forget the spirits the serial killer was conjuring.

Then the bloody handprints appearing literally two seconds after the woman returns to the house.

The only scary moment in this programme is when they are all shouting about burning the house down and the older sister (Sadie) whispers in the creepiest voice I've ever heard that "the evil will never be gone" ... literally jumped out my skin.

I mean..really?! This is the dumbest episode I've watched. You're telling me the dad was a killer and no one, even now has told the cops or go find the bodies to help give all of those families answers?? The nephew threw away all the "keepsakes" from the victims?? SURE JAN 😒

Utter dog S**t
davidhare200417 October 2019
What is this crap? This is a show full of whiny, attention seeking annoying people. These stories have no evidence to back them up at all and the Slaughterhouse house episode is just pure garbage. It's like this woman had a nightmare once then believed it was true. It's a mix of poltergeist, Texas chainsaw and the conjuring but just crap. And what's up with having a group of people sat around as they reel off this dog S***. Trust me this show is awful like truly awful and I don't believe a single story from it.

I wanted to believe it...

Warning: Spoilers
I brushed it off when they didn't call the police on their father after murdering numerous of people apparently. I mean the explanation was to a certain point reasonable.

I brushed it off when they said that the neighbors knew that this guy was messed up, yet none of them called the police.

I brushed it off when one of the sisters literally ran away and still didn't call the police.

I wanted to brush off the idea that the brother did all these terrible things his father convinced him to do, and he ended up like a completely normal person. I mean at least say something to make me feel like you are missed up or something. But even then... I tried my best to act like nah, my perception is wrong, I don't know how he is like.

But if you are gonna try to convince me that after the mom kills him, she went and lived with one of the sisters. That's when I have to tell you to ligma.

Trash or liars
smitjef22 September 2021
These people are scum. They covered for their father, never said anything for years, never went to the police just to a TV show, she was never done with her father through all the murders but only was mad after he hit her. I wouldn't want to be a friend to any these psychos. I think of all the poor people who lost family members to this psycho family.
