When Victoria decides to visit Ireland, it sets up a strange series of events. Part of it is the usual discomfort involved with a political and religious fact of life. But ) more than that is the realities of the arrogance and self fulfillment (in the worst possible way) of the British monarchy. The queen comes off as such an innocent at times. Her servants and her royal politicians are such flawed creatures, but they are allowed to be up front about their activities.
