Perfect for family viewing
jamistarme23 October 2019
Kids of all ages can watch this with their family. Definitely recommended. I saw one review saying it was awful but that's simply not true. It's fun and you don't have to worry about your kids seeing anything you don't want them to.

About the critics & critsism ...
zappapappa-528-95116122 October 2019
Look, this is a low budget series made with teenagers for teenagers (as I see it). If you can´t grasp that within the first episode, than you shouldn´t write reviews.

Secondly; If you expected something else, but you got to see what it is and you´re disappointed, do´t write a negative review, but write something informative.

Personally I thought the series is pretty well made, considering the target audience and budget. Acting could be better, but what do you expect with a handful of 16-18 year olds?

Plz judge it for what it is and that´s a lot better than a 1 to 6 ...

Not as bad as a lot of people are saying
mcouillard-6131630 November 2019
Okay, so the show obviously didn't have a huge budget, and the kids are not the world's greatest actors, but the STORY itself is actually really good. I'm 43 years old, and am generally not into this kind of thing at all...but once I watched the first episode and discovered the premise of the series I was hooked.

It's actually QUITE intelligently written (even though it definitely has a few plot holes that need plugging), and it's a 'conspiracy thriller' in the vein of sort of a cross between Orwell's 1984 (with the aspect of being tracked and watched at all times and "thought controlled"), and something maybe a little more sci-fi and modern.

Even though I guess it would be classified as a family show, the plot is very dark, the feeling of tension and overwhelming dread while watching from episode to episode, is very palpable and omnipresent, and you can really sort of FEEL for the 'unlisted' kids and how truly dire their situation is. I'm currently on episode 9 (of 15) and I have to admit, I am addicted and really can't wait to see where the story goes.

In summary, if you can look past the somewhat less than perfect acting, and some of the major plot holes (like HOW is the general public just going along with all this and not questioning any of it--thats the biggest by far), and just enjoy it for what it is, a decently well written, sci-fi thriller, than I think you might actually find yourself enjoying the show, like I do.

It's a solid 6.5/10 for me, mainly due to the points I listed above, otherwise it would've been higher.

For youth by youth. Got it?
ebslapshot27 October 2019
I totally agree with zappazappa. It is clearly a low budget show, fronted by young aspiring actors. So it could be better acted and have better cinematography, but the plot line is interesting enough to make it worth watching. Temper your expectations or a high budget US blockbuster and watch it with your kids, it's campy but fun. My 12 year old found it fun and suspenseful. If you're a 30 something looking for an intrigue mystery drama, this isn't it.

Series for the Family - If You Look Past a Few Things
ButILookGood25 November 2019
As an adult, I found it a little slow, cheesy and some not so great acting. But I think it is geared towards kids and I appreciate family friendly films! It probably is a lower budget project, but not all shows have to be huge budget blockbusters. There is room for creativity and imagination, even if you don't have a big budget. What's more, it is nice to see a series that is fun for the whole family! I am so sick of movies and television being full of profanity, violence and disgusting scenes. This one is clean, the kids work together and they appreciate their family and what they have. If you have kids, this is something you all can watch together.

Just awful. Did they audition and then pock the most talentless kids.
random-7077820 October 2019
Really? Wow sure one can't find top talent teen actors easily. But the acting in this is cringeworthy through every moment. My kid sisters, both teens, who are the target demographic audience for this, said the acting made it unwatchable.

Oh, BTW, the other review is from an account created only to give this junk a '10". sounds shilly.

Surprised at how good show was -- Don't pay attention to the bad reviews
contact-3828722 October 2019
I am an American and usually find Australian shows utterly boring or just knock offs of American shows. This actually was pretty good. I like the casting and it was fun. This is a kids/teen type show.

Australians are known to be the most racist of any nationality (it's funny because the only real Aussies are brown). Thus, you will see tons of low reviews who feel their "Australian" culture is being browned out LOL. If you want your culture, go back to England.

Not bad
abek_xw20 April 2020
The series is very good, but I think the actors were not the best, I think they overreacted a bit, and sometimes there were boring scenes but in general, not bad

Acting falls short
Praetorius198027 October 2019
Great concept paired with terrible acting. Every actor seemed like they were forgetting their lines regularly.

Great for the whole family
grayeyedbeauty18 May 2020
Finally a show that is great for everyone ! I was pleasantly surprised at how good this show was . I have an 8 year old and a 12 year old and it's hard to find a series that we all can watch and enjoy . This wasn't only entertaining for them but for me and my husband as well. We binged the whole season in a day. It's also nice that as parents we didn't have to worry about inappropriate content. This series was perfect ! Hoping for a season 2

Good concept but bad acting
The concept and the whole connection to Pink Floyd, Another brick in the wall, so far seems nice. But damn the acting is flat and bad. The two kids are so bad... Like emotionless?

well meaning, but totally under-achieving kid's show
mail-0421023 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It really is a rather lousy show. Written for much younger actors, KIDS, but acted but by young adults The siblings should be 12-but a fully developed 17/18 year old are playing them. It looks and sounds ridiculous, when the doctor sister tells them:: "You are in a difficult age now, your voice breaks, your body changes, you're are confused about many things."..and there are sitting two strapping , well developed guys whith shaven chins and hairy legs. the serious is slow moving, repetetive and ometime wuite boring. The over the top grandmother (?) seems to be running the show -aand the villiain is the headmistres of the school acting likke a mixture of Frankenstein's Bride and Ilse Koch. After two periods I fled the scene.

other reviews allready explained it well... low budget for the yuth... over all nice
imdbmoviereviews17 October 2020
I mean obviously the acting isn't always great the plot the cast the... well everything... can be cheesy childish boring idiotic and I can go on and on with all the bad aspects of the series but over all not too bad.... in fact relative to the low budget great! this series was not designed to be the next should u watch it sure but I can't say this is my first recommendation

personally I like the conspiracy mystery genre theme and while the series isn't perfect we have to put it in perspective and appreciate just how well it's been made.

oh and yeah obviously family friendly. which I don't usually like it always feels unnatural seeing the waterdowned scripts and well u get the point... lack of tackling of difficult subjects and so on... but yeah if that's what you're looking for it isn't horrible and family friendly.

What a fun show for the entire family
eidenneal20 October 2019
I really liked how India culture was worked in without being over the top. The story was well thought out and the cast was perfect. This is a show the whole family can watch. Each episode (15) is 21-28 mins long. Got sucked in and binge watched the entire season. Looking forward to season 2.

Another winner for Netflix!!

Not bad, could be better
GarnetVersus77 July 2020
Okay so, this show is actually not that bad. Yes, the acting is less than great. It's a bit predictable and from the first episode you can kind of see where it's going. I also have another complaint, there is really no relationship between anyone. Everyone is just friendly with each other but I don't get that sense of a close bond. No one really has a personality. Kymara was a great character and I wanted to see more of her. She had spunk and could actually act. Gemma, Rose, and Jacob were all alike. They had weak traits and nothing made them stand apart. I also liked Regan and although her being snooty, I enjoyed her snootiness because it set her apart from everyone else who had pretty much the same personality. I liked the plot. Although predictable, I've personally never seen a show about solely mind control so it has a nice touch.

Horrible acting.
Rastifan21 October 2019
Badly produced, edited and most of all... the acting is horrible. The episodes are robotic and entirely lacking in charm. I lost interest out in the second episode. A waste of time.

For what it is, this is really good. Big thumbs up!
roxsanahaq17 January 2021
This is so very suitable for families watching together or pre-teens and kids on their own. I am a grown arsed adult and I enjoyed it as something light hearted and not super high budget or intensely plot filled. Sometimes in between the great and super great you need to watch something lighter but still well made. My nieces and nephews enjoyed this too. The acting was cute and it's nice to see diversity coming from Australia as it feels like they need to catch up to the rest of the world in what they export out. I kept changing from 8 stars to 7 and back but settled at 7 in the end as I have rated other shows 8 and overall it's a 7. If this was in a category of its own definitely 8 or 9.

Bad acting
jagritilamba-0313428 October 2019
Overacting by Dadi, bad actor. But liked her personality. Kids are worst actors. May be they could not pay kids who knew how to act. Bua was the only one who knew how to act. Fire the dialogue writer. Story is simple and predictable. Parents, oh man, worst acting and looks.

Some of the acting was really awful. I liked the family team shown in the series. I belivee that for a low budget they did a good job. Don't know if there is going to be a second season.

Don't watch it!!!
Don't waste your time watching this pathetic low budget story less series. Every kid is a hacker in this series. The screenplay is repetitive and very irritating.

It's a cute show for pre-teens.
Just as I said it's a cute show for kids just expect any Oscar worthy performances. Th acting is horrible. Even Kate Box isn't up to her awesome standard.
