Black mirror sold out to Disney.

Charlie Brooker what happened? Is Black mirror appealing to an audience of 12 year olds. I've been an avid viewer of black mirror from episode one, but I couldn't grasp where the magic has gone.

This really felt like a stepping stone for Miss Cyprus to get back into acting and no feel of the of the deep thought provoking episodes they lay before this.

I hope this isn't the beging of the end of Black mirror. But series 5 is lacking any passion or charm and any form of thought provoking episodes.

I do question if the name has been sold on as a cash cow and all that is left is an empty brand with no sole.

A sad day for black mirror. In total very disappointing.

I like all the 3 movies of season 5! original, creative, good stories!!! and always with great messages!! I loved all the seisons!! 5 is again!, really good!! Just12SEE!!!

Black Mirror has lost its mojo

Black Mirror has been a terrific innovation in the small screen landscape: the recipe of its success has been brilliant screenplay based on 1. a very smart plot construct, with a weird beginning of the story making the viewer wonder "what the hell is going on here?", a tension which was then solved by a twist involving, in a way or another but always very naturally integrated, an aspect of digital technology 2. very fresh insights into the impact of digital technologies on nowadays lives All this packaged in very slick execution: the result has been phenomenal for four seasons, then... Then probably the source of inspiration has dried up, insights stated being less fresh, the plot construct risked to becomes just formulaic...so they tried to innovate with Bandersnatch, a net fail, innovation for the sale of it, just gimmicky. And now, S5: three episodes of just flat stories, no insights whatsoever, the stories start weird and the end weird, and the viewer keeps asking "what the hell is going on here?" until the final credits. Black Mirror is over.

UK Black Mirror 1st half S5 Ep3 leak

S5 Ep3: "Butternutts" is hysterical. The first dark comedy of the series. Taking place in the 1980s pre "everything is seen era", this episode centures around a discount food store chain in which the cunsumer prices their own food with a black pen by writing the posted price onto the item itself, thus keeping pricing down via reduced labor cost. The result is less staffing, fewer mirrors, no cameras, and fertile ground for three local vandal/food tampering juvenile delinquents. This begins with the "soda pop top off" in which a small assembly line consisting of 1) twist cap off 2) urine fill 2 liter bottle air gap, organ squeeze and hold 3) cap tighten, and so on to see which of them can fill the most air gaps. The hijinks continue culminating in "Butternuts". Margerine lids are removed as each of these characters presses their nuts into untouched perfectly flat surfaces, leaving and undeniable impression along with a lone hair. Lids are closed and containers are placed back into the refrigeration shelf. The irony of their actions boomerangs back at them 40 years later in True Black Mirror fashion. Better than S1 Ep1

OMG so bad

Did they just give up? did the people behind the franchise just decide that they were going to coast through Season 5? Just absolutely horrible. The only episode even remotely compelling was the Smithereens and it just seemed to be a bad attempt at a common theme against social media.

I can't even be bothered to give a lengthy reason why it was horrible just that after the first 4 seasons this was a disappointment.

NetFlix Has a Real Winner With This Series

As usual, all episodes were excellent, with the first slightly edging out the third for the best of the three. Miley is a good actor and played her role perfectly. I wonder if the Silicon Valley guys watched the third episode. If they did, maybe they can learn something from it. Thank you Netflix for three hours of solid entertainment.

I watched all of the episodes from season 1 up to the latest season and I am totally disappointed with its latest offer. It lacks substance, the magic was totally gone. I missed the old times where I am always left rationalizing every episodes endings. Now it's full of crap, uninteresting twists.

The season has been superb so far, with the first episode especially drawing plaudits for the execution and Natural performances. It is indeed a must-watch.
