If you haven't seen Blues Clues and you're looking for an educational show for your children - I highly recommend this one! It's educational, but not in a fast-pace way, and the animation is simple. Most kid shows involve loud sounds, fast-learning or quick-thinking. As someone who grew up with a learning disability, this show helped me a lot when it came to learning in a way that I needed with a twist of fun!

I was born a few days before this series aired and my mother always said it kept me entertained. Steve is such a wonderful teacher as well. He's very soft-spoken and gives off a friendly vibe to viewers watching. This show is basically designed to make the children viewing feel as if they are watching a friend on screen. Subtly teaches drawing as well! There are many wonderful things to love about this show, and your children learn with each step.

As I've mentioned before, this show makes children feel as if they are watching on screen, so they are learning healthy habits of what it takes to be a friend by watching Blue and her friends interact! With that being said, when Steve leaves for college it's obvious as children we developed some sort of attachment to him and we didn't want to see him go, but that is a challenge the show brought. With Joe being introduced and Steve heading off we had to learn to overcome our comfort by being introduced to a new person in our lives. (Not a lot of other children shows do this.)

With time most of us accepted this challenge in the show, while still missing Steve, but we learned not all things stay the same. Which I feel is something that is needed to help kids understand that life has its moments where you'll feel out-of-place, because something you've grown attached too is out of place. (That episode REALLY came in handy when my parents divorced.) And that is something that's important to slowly introduce to children.

This has nothing to do with the review, but the episode when Paprika was born is iconic and I still remember that exciting moment to this day.
