Went to see this yesterday with a friend and the movie looked very interesting at first but suddenly devolved into an insipid, predictable version of Rosemary's baby, instead of having you psychologically at the edge of your seat you were presented with cheap jump scares and an uninteresting plot, why uninteresting? In horror movies the origin of the "evil" in the film is key, even when given in small doses which builds up to a reveal or the whole meaning of the film, but no, there's no real explanation as to what is happening in the end, just a wee-bit of an explanation as to "why" things are happening, but in the end it was an insipid horror movie, the ending is terrible,you never see the baby, just its "inhuman" cries (think antichrist baby from South Park's "Woodland Critter Christmas" episode) and you don't see anything after it's dispatched by the mom, no explanation as to why she did it (I mean, it's an abomination by the cries alone but the film NEEDED to have a better explanation of what was growing inside of her), I mean, Rosemary's baby explained very well what was going on, in this film it's OOPS you're pregnant with Jesus clone! And that's it.
