It took me off guard, unexpected, shocking, heartbreaking, and a perfect strong episode all around.

The best and most unexpected episode of Lucifer

Quite different from the normally light-hearted show we all know and love but SO incredibly well done. Full of suspense (I still want to know what Lucifer whispered in Rob Benedict's ear towards the end!), so cleverly written (like the jab at Fox, who dropped the show), heartbreaking, emotional, fantastic visuals as always. 10/10.
Unexpected Emotional.

This is not really a review it's more of a cryptic message for fans of two of the greatest shows ever.
Hands down the saddest episode of all the series. Hated to see one of the main characters go bye-bye. I had to admit to see Chuck from an alternative universe. Crossing through the "Source Wall" to play a role in this universe was epic. Unfortunately Chuck had no chance against Lucifer. Lol.

This was one of THE best deaths in the history of television! The buildup, the choice of the character, the death scene itself and everything afterwards were amazingly perfect. In my opinion this was the best episode of the show. And what a great job the actors did in this one, wow, just wow (even the little girl playing Trixie was incredible). However, I will miss Dan and I hope we somehow see him in the next season.
Oh Dan!

Such a magnificent, heartbreaking episode. So many tears. Ella and Lucifer singing at the funeral bleeding into the comeuppance is perfect. Mazikeen's response just shows that she would take a bullet for him.
A brilliant tonal shift.

Lucifer's always been this fun show that always made me smile and yes it definitely had its heartfelt and serious moments and I even shed some tears from time to time (when Charlotte died, or Lucifer had to say goodybe to Chloe at the end of season4) but this....nothing could have prepared me for this. This episode ripped my heart out and stomped on it repeatedly. First, when I thought that Dan had managed to escape just to get shot in the back (that was so unexpected!), next when Chloe finds a dying Dan and she holds him in her arms, then the whole hospital scene, the funeral, Lucifer and Maze getting revenge and Lucifer in Linda's office, crying (who'd have thought that someday Lucifer would cry over Dan's death. ) and vowing to become God so that he can change this unjust system that cast Dan into hell.
This episode was so hard to watch and digest and it deserves all 10 stars.

Last time I actually cried on this show was when Charlotte died, specifically because how Dan reacted to it. And now his death and the hospital scene with Trixie, I couldn't hold them man. A perfectly heartbreaking episode.
did NOT see this coming

Things really come to a head in this long awaited season of Lucifer. Some big moments happened this season. Dan getting killed was a big one and God retiring and Lucifer taking the reigns. I honestly thought Lucifer would not win this one but he did in the end. Interested to see where this show heads now with this new complex detail.
I was really taken, like many, when Lucifer first started. It was bold, funny and very different. I feel they've taken the shows down various different angles and its not always worked out. Some story lines were weaker. I always felt they dragged Maze's character a bit too much. She could have been given a fitting send off earlier. There is also always a risk with celestial storylines and going overboard. I probably would have preferred a simpler story centred mainly on Lucifer and not too many celestial beings thrown in. I will still tune in for another season.

Really enjoyed this show up till this season. Felt like it jumped the shark but I was willing to stick it out. The writing obviously took a dive with characters acting out of character and saying lines that they normally wouldn't say. Chloe has become a weak female who is only interested in becoming a housewife in heaven. And killing off Dan by a random guy who shows up in the same episode felt so pointless. I was willing to finish the show since I've been on this ride for some time..but I'm just going to pretend the show ended with season 4 and call it a day.

OMG. The ending few minutes are an incredible show of talented actors, singing, writers, directing and editing. I must have missed a few. Had go watch it twice so far. The song choice from Boys to Men -- perfect. Script amazing.
Bow to the best show out there...

This is the best episode of the show by far...You can find the 9,8 at the episode A devil of my word and 9,7 so far from it but its because of this idiots who just hate the show and without even watch it and come just to bring the rating down...Beatifull acting, shocking heartbreaking UNJUST...Emotions go up and down like a rollercoster and its the first time that show made me cry...For me so far season 5 is maybe the best season of this show...Netflix didnt just revived the show it upgrade it and make it one of the best shows out there.

At first I didn't like Dan very much, I thought he was a stupid, corrupt officer who hated Lucifer, but then I got attached to him very much and found that he is very pure from the inside, he doesn't deserve to go to hell, this life is unjust as this series, but I think that Lucifer and Amenadiel will make things right.
OMG

Just predictable, and not depressing in the way it was intended to be.

That episode was joke! The geeky guy from Felicity and Supernatural, was a terrible vilain. Dan's death was a given. The slow way he was pushed aside of every important arc lately, and how his love interest was killed off, and hope for a new chance with Chloe, nipped in the bud. Only preceded his « exit ». Only writers were not very good at hiding it, so it felt very anticlimactic. The hospital scene, made me laugh so much... It turned his death into a farce. I think the show became so boring and disingenuous, I can't get into it anymore. And this storyline in particular, was wasted on this writing crew. Lauren German was good with what was given, and that's maybe the only good thing left. But it can't replace good writing either. Especially when all those « gods » were unable to prevent such an avoidable death from happening. And why do they need to sing, all the time, now?...
