Although I liked the last two episodes, something seemed off. This time, things seem back on track. I loved this episode. It was really unique and is a very fun episode with a shocking ending!

a cartoon lucifer?!

Warning: Spoilers
I was very sceptical at first when I saw there was a cartoon section, but I enjoyed it so much and finding out it happened because of Jimmy finding comfort in cartoons so turned his loop into one! And lets not forget to mention the moment with Chloe flying with Lucifer LOVED it!
Good one after slow start

Amazing episode and it really stood out for me, because it just has everything. The writing and acting is top notch, and the story as well as the settings of this episode are all great and kept me hooked. Super entertaining, and heartwarming to see the development Lucifer went through in this one.
Also, the first setting when they go through the hell door (you probably know, but I still won't spoil) is FANTASTIC and turned out much more fun than I thought it would. 10/10.

This episode is really what Lucifer is all about. Lucifer is trying to prepare himself before becoming God, but is worried he won't truly be able to be there for every human, especially those he hates. So, with the help of Chloe, he goes down to hell to find one of the people he hates the most: Jimmy Barnes, the man who shot Chloe in the very first episode of Lucifer (loving the callbacks, btw).
So, Lucifer and Chloe explore his hell loop, and explore all the levels of this man's trauma and guilt to find the true source. This is where this episode shines, the storytelling is brilliant here, as well as the effects, and we get a brilliant animated sequence (which doesn't last too long), and an epic animated fight between Chloe and the cartoon devil! I mean, what more could you ask from a Lucifer episode?
All this without even mentioning the fact that... Dan is a ghost?! And Lucifer has a daughter?! All of this is just brilliantly done. This is definitely the best episode of the season (SO FAR, I have yet to watch the rest)!

I don't remember ever in my life ,in any movie I have watched to have felt so heart broken as when I watched this episode.
Abandonment is something I had to deal with many times in my life and this episode just stabbed me in the wound. But it also made me realize that it was something I was avoiding to deal with. I am sure that many people have related to this. The real root of pain and how we avoid dealing with it.
Excellent approach to such a delicate subject.
Never in my life I haven't been so deeply troubled by a movie or art in general.

The whole hell sequence of this episode is one of my favorite things to come out of this show. And some big plot twists as well. I won't say too much to avoid spoiling, because you should definitely watch this for yourself. Just great, season is off to a strong start.
Cartoon Lucifer!

Really great Hell-centric episode, I enjoyed this a lot. This episode probably won't get as high of a rating as it deserves, because some people will see this as a gimmick episode, and tend to really dislike those (even though I think they fit perfectly for a fun show like Lucifer, loved the Musical and Black and White episodes). But the Cartoon gimmick is only a quarter of this episode, and ties well into the story they're trying to tell with the man in Hell, and I also found it really funny and well done. Everything else was great too, especially Dan!
One of the best episodes in all Lucifer (maybe some minor spoilers)

Just amazing from beginning to end. I didnt believe that Lucifer can still be that good after first two awful episodes of this season, but it can !
Funny, heartwarming with superb writing and shocking plot twist at the end. Finally without this awful Carol character and the whole attention focused on him, but with all the main characters that we love. It would definitely be in my TOP10 Lucifer episodes.
Can't wait to see more ! I will probably just binge watch the whole thing now.

This season seems so odd in relation to the previous five, almost as if it were written by a new set of writers. The characters all seem off too. The cartoon bits were just stupid and really took away from the story. Linda is writing a book about Lucifer? Her client, using his real name? Would a therapist really do that? Seems like a bit of a filler episode to me.
Worst episode ever...until it wasn't

No spoilers here, you already know about the cartoon part, but I was underwhelmed with this episode until all was revealed. We were in tears, and both agreed it went from a stupid pointless indulgence to a gripping, emotional story. Excellent TV.

Okay, I am really disapointed they did not countinue on the froggy arc, but Im sure he will be the bad guy this season. But did anybody notice that the show switched to a cartoon style? I hope everyone that missed that detail watch the episode again. The ending had so confused though, who is the mother of the girl? My guess is the froggy!!!!!!!!
So bad...

Worst episode I've seen

Not sure what they were thinking for this episode, but 100% without a doubt, worst episode I've seen of Lucifer. It gets better with the later episodes but all the cartoons, etc., is truly awful. Do yourself a favor and skip this episode.
